Tomorrow is Cinco de Mayo (which incidentally has nothing to do with why I want recipes, it just happens to fit with the timing), and I'm looking for your favorite guacamole recipes. Right now I just smash up some avocado, add fresh squeezed lime juice, and some garlic powder. I know, *yawn!*
Anyone want to share?

Smash avocados up, leaving slightly chunky. Chop up onions and tomatoes really small, throw those in, squirt of lemon, dash of paprika and a little cayenne if you want some heat. Dash of salt if you want. Then the most imporant part, chop up some fresh cilantro and add, stir it all up, cover and put in the fridge for a few hours to let the flavors meld.
For really simple all you need is avocado, onion, cilantro- those 3 are mandatory.
Either way, without letting the flavors meld, its meh.2 time survivor of The Great Misc Outages of 2022

I am similar, never tried the cayenne though, although i have been getting big tortilla pancakes, quartering them, putting them in the pan will a lil oil, so they crisp up like massive doritos, perfect for scooping that stuff into my mouth hole.
God damn KayPS, now im gonna have to make some later.Eat the damn yolk.

no thread hijack, but i just had an epiphany, if i were to make a thread with a poll, would you rather eat an avocado salad, or egg yolk scrambled eggs, what would you eat and why.
I wonder how many new people would opt for the avocado salad, not realizing it probably has around the same fat content.
ofc these people being ones who think fats bad for you etc.Eat the damn yolk.

This is the best recipe I've tried out so far:
Ingredients
2 ripe avocados
1 small red onion, finely diced
1 lime, juiced
1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
2 cloves of garlic, finely diced
Salt and pepper to taste
Directions
Halve 2 ripe avocados, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Mash slightly chunky with a fork.
Dice 1 red onion and stir into the avocado. Onion provides flavour, crunch, and antioxidants to boost health.
Add 1/2 of the lime juice and leave the rest to add if needed.
Mince garlic and stir in for healthy heat. Garlic improves immunity and metabolism.
Mix thoroughly.

3 Avos
1 red chili
1 shallot onion
Coriander (Cilantro), chopped
Lime juice + zest of lime
Chopped flesh of tomato (not the insides)
Chop up the veggies, throw in the avos and mash with fork. Add in the coriander and lime juice and zest, and stir up.
It's some tasty-ass guacomole.Back off, Warchild.
Seriously.
