    protein vs creatine

this question is based on my budget, but i was wondering if directly after my workout would it be more benificial to consume creatine or protien? i consume the 1.5 gram per bodyweight of protein every day already but since i already have protein should i try and spend some money on creatine for post workout?

If you are already getting enough protein at the right times, then invest in some bulk mono, its really cheap and effective. But if you could only choose one product to take after a workout, I would take whey in a heart beat.

looks like you already got plenty of protein in your diet so if you had to take just one i'd go with the creatine

Agreed. As long as you're sure you're getting that much protein, I'd consider the creatine mono.

    Right, if you're a non-responder to mono.

    Yes.

Creatine monohydrate is relatively affordable. I recommend Prolab's Creatine Monohydrate.

    Based on what?

While it may work better for you, that certainly isn't the case for everyone.

Creatine monohydrate is the most studied compound and has been proven successful time and time again. I am sure you will not be able to produce a number of, if any, studies backing CEE malate.

Everybody responds differently as far as I know, it's not based on genetics.

For the 1.5gram/per bodyweight equation is that per pound? (so if I have weigh 150lbs., I should be getting 225grams?)

i have always read....to stay anabolic one would need to consume 1-1.5 grams of protein per pound of their bodyweight. so thats what i try to do. if anyone has more info on it, please share it.
