Question What is your dumbest financial move?

Mine is not investing years ago because I was afraid of stocks.

Years and years of believing "I could afford it" is there was an available balance on the credit card

Poured a helluva lot of cash into the black hole of interest payments.

Getting my first gf in senior year of high school
"So there I am sitting in the waiting area of the hair salon with my niece and Keanu Reeves walks in. I was nervous as ****, but too scared to say anything to him. Then my niece started crying, and I’m trying to quiet her down because I don't want to bother him. Pretty soon he walks over and asks what's wrong. I replied that she was probably hungry. He put down his magazine, picked up my niece, and lifted up his shirt, and breastfed her right there in the salon. Chill guy, really nice about it."

Selling my gold to buy a car. I used to save up money when i was 12-13 by working as a landscaper with my step dad, Back then you can buy an MS-63 Saint Gauden coin for $700-900 bucks. I had collected 4 of them and sold them for ~$900 each in 2007. Now those same coins are now worth triple that and the car i bought ended up being a POS that broke down more every 2 weeks and couldnt afford to keep fixing it.

Choosing a college that was much more expensive and out of state. Stay in state and use the scholarships available if you have any. I transferred and now I am in state and go to Purdue paying $5000 a semester. People out of state here pay towards 20 grand..

Not worst financial decision ever, but last night I used my debit card at a bar and only spent like $11 in alcohol and left like 2.50 tip... I check my bank account this morning and they charged me 25, wtf?

I know its not a lot of money but it pisses me off, and I dont think I have the receipt to get the money back.

Not doing a Roth IRA when I qualified for it. Now my gainz will be taxed. Don't even qualify for a traditional IRA. Also holding on to AAPL (forgetting to set a trailing sell order)

I don't regret any of my purchases but they could easily be argued to be dumb:
$400 on alcohol in one night
    Rolex
