Just getting a chance to say "thanks" again for all the support.
I am actually still a little sore from pulling that day. Now it is just a light week of nothing and stretching. Joints will like the de-load anyway....plus I have some projects I could stand to catch up on.
inb4.....oooh no, I am not working out for a week....am I going to lose all my gainz!?
Sons B-day was this weekend. (my youngest). Boy it puts things in perspective. Time is not slowing down for anyone. I still got a lot of years left in the fight! I thank the forums senior members for helping me get that vision and focus.
Thanks again, hoping to pull well next sat!RAW lifts

Hey guys. Just a little update. My comp is tomorrow. Not sure what is going to happen.
Freaking pulled hip flexor is really hurting me! (yes...still) Grrrrrr.
Went to try to do speed reps on wed and could barely do 315. (hurt to much to squat down).
Been nursing it past several days hoping I can do the comp. Very painful, I think it is more of a tear then a pull. (yes I went to a Doc and I am 100% sure it is a pulled muscle) Looks like the recovery may be longer then I thought.
When all is right, I can deadlift without pain....but one wrong step, and I am down to my knees. Stretching and moving through some full ROM after it is relaxed helps a lot. Doing all I can do. We will see what happens.
They are doing a Wilks calc for best overall lifter. There is a guy at 148 who may give me a run for the top place. I have heard he is very good. But to beat me (by Wilks score) he will have to pull over 500. (to beat my 600) If I can stay healthy, on my third pull I am going to go for 615-620 just for the hell of it!
Hope to represent the >35 well.RAW lifts

Congrats on the lift. I was out for a week, so I didn't see this thread until now. 600 is impressive.
Good luck with the competition if you decide to go for it. It won't be that bad if you decide to sit this one out and go for 600+ in the next comp. I'm a little more risk averse than I used to be when it comes to lifting injuries.
