Replacing SAF is a tough ask, I have a feeling united will go through a variety of managers before they find one that can even achieve half of what SAF can

Would anyone seriously prefer Mourinho as a long term prospect than Moyes. He'll give a few rousing team talks, win a trophy and then **** off. And anyone thinking Moyes not having money in the past will mean he won't know how to spend it in the future is frankly an idiot. As if Ferguson had money at Aberdeen.

what the **** are talking about? The guy destroyed Jose Mourinho and it took the special one few years in Madrid to win his first and only game. Jose only won the press room war. Pep problem more to do with the president and his associates and of course he gave everything to Barcelona.
United would have been lucky to get Guardiola. Look at Barcelona now, they lack vision and inspiration that Guardiola gave, he changed the game and will probably influence many managers to come."The fact that a believer is happier than a skeptic is no more to the point than the fact that a drunken man is happier than a sober one."

Sky bet and Paddypower have updated their market with Mourinho being the favourite at 5/4

Won't be Mourinho, United want someone to last last Busby/Ferguson rather than a year of mourinho then looking for another manager again. The only way I see this changing is if we have a few years of Mourinho to wait until we can get Pep

This. Everything is moving too damn fast
I'll support Moyes if he gets in, he's got the right character, attitude and will be the type of guy that offers longevity. Plus I'm sure the next successor would have been reccomended by SAF himself ..... I trust in the old goat to find the next captain to steer the ship.Sig line can't be a novel

I'd be pretty disappointed with Moyes, to be honest. He would signal financial stringency. He's a very good manager and more than Everton's board deserves, but he doesn't have the experience to take over from Fergie IMO. I'm not belittling his achievements at Everton but he's never won a cup, challenged consistently for fourth, had Champions League experience and he doesn't have the network that a Mourinho, or even Klopp, would bring with them.
If the Glazers and Mr Hedge Fund Manager weren't in charge, I'd be open to him. He's clearly the choice from the financial point of view though. 10 years ago when Fergie announced his retirement, we were going to get Hitzfeld. That's the calibre of manager United should be going for.Check user title

No it doesnt work like that, you dont expect someone to get in and enjoy a quarter of a century right away. What United need atm is short term stability, Moyes is not big enough to handle this kind of pressure, Mourinho is. Dont understand all this talk about Pe, he already fukked off to Munich
Edit: seems to be almost certainly Moyes, fsLast edited by Hmzone; 05-08-2013 at 03:10 AM.

Reckon there'll be one big signing a la Bale this summer -- the new manager is going to need that 'oomph' to raise his chances, make the team look like its progressing etc.
edit: still think it'll be Mourinho. He's been stringing the Cheslea fans along like a bunch of muppets.Chelsea FC ~ Lakers
