Thanks. I think with some hard work I could possibly get to double my body weight which would be cool.

I was only an athlete with Scivation and not really interested in the sport. I will say when Marc was with Scivation things were different and they really focused on marketing to the natural side of the sport. Once they pulled the marketing from these events it really changed the way I was able to present the products. I am just happy to be with a company like Core Nutritional's and be a part of something I can helping to build. I am part of daily emails on products, feed back, ideas, and future plans which really helps me get motivated and excited about the future.

    Taper\Deload

    Bench

    225x1

    185x3(5 sets)

    Deadlift

    285x1(7 sets)

Ben stressed to keep the volume of work the same and reduce the weight. It's amazing how much heavier a weight can feel when you don't get mentally charged up to lift. The last few sets of each were very productive despite the ego crushing numbers. I am excited to see what comes of Friday....

Well boys and girls got hit with a pretty bad injury over the weekend. A few days prior I moved a washing machine up 3 flights of stairs and I guess the weight and twisting strained something in my oblique, lower back area. I didn't notice right away but I got a bit stiff, I continued to train including deadlifts and friday I woke up and could hardly move around. I still went to the gym after going to the Chiro but was not able to push very hard. I The entire weekend I was laying around on some muscle relaxers and NSAIDS. I am finally moving around again without too much trouble but I will be taking the rest of the week off. Not to worry. I am going to hit some PR's in no time.

Sorry to hear. If it's a disk injury take care of it 100%, you may have to swallow your pride in your lifts for a while but It will be worth it in the end. It's a very delicate area, good luck hope it isn't that bad.

Went to the Dr. so its not a disk issue at all, strain only but in a tough spot so for now some down time. Pride swallowing is something I am good at and will build back up slowly.

Back in action and tied my all time Bench PR with a 390 paused. I was a bit shocked since I missed a few days last week lifting. I did get in on Friday for a good session though.

Here is a video from my working set of 315x5. The only reason I posted it was because it was so damn easy I feel like I could have got 10 at this weight with a pause.

It's pretty cool when program design and desire allow progress to be made, even after 20 years on the gym.

Damn you're strong!! You are making my "I can't bench much because of my long arms" excuse less and less convincing. lol

Friday's bench workout, video coming soon...probably tonight.

    Warmups.
    First PR Attempt 395, good
Second PR attempt 400, good (AWWWW YEAH)
    Third PR attempt 405...new goal

    First working set 320x2...too easy
second working set 320x2...again super easy
Third set for fun, 315 with a pause to failure...got 9 and just missed a tenth.

My leg is really healing as well now that I am taking some time off. I am taking one more month from any heavy squats or presses and then the squat assault begins again.
