Hey is a basic 8 workout good?

I go to snap fitness and this is what the basic 8 workout is: 3 times a week 3sets each

    Abdominal Machine (Cybex)
    Abdominal Machine (Matrix)
    Arm Curl Machine
    Arm Extension Machine
    Lateral Pulldown Machine
    Leg Extension Machine
    Seated Calf Raise Machine
    Seated Chest Press Machine
    Seated Leg Curl Machine

Was wondering if someone who is almost a month of going to the gym should try this or if there is a better routine for muscle gain

900 + posts on a bodybuilding site and this is what you come up with? Less time in the misc and more time reading the stickys would be a good place to start. Pick a beginner barbell routine and go from there.
As you go the way of life, you will see a great chasm. Jump. It is not as wide as you think.

Don't do a basic 8 workout by Snap fitness. I just took a look at their page on this workout if that is what you are mentioning here then wow. They said the word 'tone' at least 2 times on one page and preached about getting the body you want in less time than you need. That should already give you and indicator of how much they really know or really care about people reaching there goals. Makes me sick.
If you want a proper full body routine get on a proper one, read the stickies.
I also lol'd at this line."You'll train on state-of-the-art equipment, the same type found in those large, expensive clubs."

just do a basic strength routine like rippetoe's or icecreamfitness'. they're effective for gaining strength quickly which will lead to you getting bigger in the long run.

Whoever came up with that routine probably never lifted hahaha. Seriously, 945 posts and you're doing that? Do an upper/lower 5x5 split or similar, would be my recommendation.
