Hi bodyspace,
I have made a dramatic lifestyle change. I do not drink alcohol any more, I stay physically active, eat healthy, and I drink an adequate amount of water per day. But, I am having a problem with finding a salad drinking that taste good and is healthy. I currently use hidden valley ranch. I know its not the best thing for me so I would like some suggestions from someone that could help me find the right dressing.

I use Salsa on my salads as dressing and also use BBQ sauce.
I havent tried making this yet, but you can make ranch w/ Greek Yogurt

Go to whole foods and check in the refrigerated section. A LOT of good choices there. I like the buttermilk ranch one that is actually made with real buttermilk. They even have oil-free ones that are pretty good for cutting.
But, if you want a cheaper solution, Newmans Own makes some great ones, vinagraittes, italian etc that don't have trans fats and crap.2 time survivor of The Great Misc Outages of 2022

If you can find it in stores, get Bragg's "Healthy Vinaigrette". It's the only store-bought salad dressing I've found that's made with just olive oil, no soybean or canola-type ****.

Otherwise, learn how to make a balsamic reduction:
Once it's thick and cooled off, just drizzle that on your salad along with a splash of EVOO and lemon juice
You can also make reductions with apple cider vinegar or red wine vinegar.

Bottled salad dressings are so full of chemicals, so I try to make my own as much as possible. Here are a few healthier suggestions:
-Avocado flesh, 1/2 piece of raw garlic pressed through garlic press, extra virgin olive oil, lemon juice, salt, pepper- blend in food processor until creamy, may add small amounts of water to thin out, adjust salt to taste
-Asian-Soy Dressing: 1 part Japanese Vinegar (may use the lightly sweetened kind for sushi), 1/2-1 part canola oil, dash sesame oil, couple tablespoons soy sauce, spooful of honey or Stevia- shake in jar or shaker- great on Asian types of salads- shredded lettuce, shredded chicken, orange segments or dried cranberries, toasted almonds
-For an Asian Peanut Butter Salad Dressing, use the above Asian-Soy Dressing, but add 1/2 part of Natural Peanut Butter, and blend in food processor. Should end up the texture of Ranch Dressing, so add more Peanut Butter if needed.
-Homemade Salsa: Chopped Tomatoes, Lime Juice, 1 clove pressed garlic, chopped cilantro, finely diced jalapeno pepper, chopped sweet onion, salt- coarsely grind in food processor using short pulses, being careful not to liquefyIn addition to loving training, I'm an avid hiker.
