Stupid sh!tstain keeps messaging me asking questions about my product and shipping saying he'll pay IMMEDIATELY. So I give him a quote and he's like OK sounds good, I adjust the shipping and this fuk face doesn't even buy it.
Death is impossible for us to fathom: it is so immense, so frightening, that we will do almost anything to avoid thinking about it. Society is organized to make death invisible, to keep it several steps removed. That distance may seem necessary for our comfort, but it comes with a terrible price: the illusion of limitless time, and a consequent lack of seriousness about daily life. We are running away from the one reality that faces us all.

Rule #1 - Do not respond to buyers who ask questions before buying. Statistically, these will be the ones who will cause problems and return items

Do they sell shoes at op shops / thrift stores in America? they certainly don't here in Aus

I'll give you some advice too brah, boost your feedback up by selling some small crappy items, many people won't go near a seller with 94% feedback. Also I think you can structure your listing description better, no one likes reading paragraphs on ebay.

posted my first item to sell on ebay today and was sold within the hour!!!! going to ship tomorrow.

but I have a question on fees and what not..

I posted the item for $3.50 with free shipping.

when i checked my paypal account it said I had an offer pending of $3.10 (I THINK its pending because since I am a new seller I have to wait until the package is delivered). however it does not tell me where the .40 cents went. where did it go? it says on ebay the person paid the full $3.50. I figure it went to fees, I am just curious from what..

    an iphone case/armband.

I purchased it a few months ago to use while i run. however I forgot to factor in the fact that my phone needs a charging case and to be charging at all times.. because it dies at random times.. even at 100% and takes hours to turn back on.. and of course the phone and case do not fit in armband so I was never able to use it. so I figured that would be a good "test run" when trying to sell stuff on eBay. so I just listed it similar price as what I paid for. I didn't expect to make a profit I just wanted to get the hang of things using a somewhat cheap item so it didn't backfire too much with fees.

so I guess paypal deducts automatically. now i need to figure out how to determine ebay fees.. it says "amount due as of feb 18 is $0.00" but it says newly activity not invoiced with a current balance of $0.35.. is that how much i owe? i thought first few sales are free for new users? i chose fixed price.

lol I have been reading the FAQ section and I still have no idea what the hell i am doing.

EDIT:.. i pay fees ONCE item was sold.. i get that now.. but when will the .35 cents be allowed for me to pay

You can pay ebay fees whenever you want. But you can't let the fees just sit there for more than a month.

When selling something take into account that you have paypal fees, ebay fees, supplies, gas, your own work, etc. If you buy an item for 5 and sell it for 10 you have to do the math right and not tell yourself you made 4 or 5 bucks.

Sup brahs, I need some advice. I sold something about a month ago and the buyer claimed that it was broken. I usually would have just told him send it back and I would refund his money. But it was something I was trying to sell for about a year, and I am sure there is nothing wrong with the item. After constant messaging between us I asked him to tell me exactly what was wrong with the item. He never specified what was wrong with it and just filed a claim on paypal. I won the claim buy providing the right evidence to paypal (I was actually shocked I won because they never favor the seller). So now the buyer keeps contacting me and asking to refund his money. So my question is should I even respond to him if paypal already closed the case, and is there anything the seller can really do now that the case is closed?

After constant messaging between us I asked him to tell me exactly what was wrong with the item. He never specified what was wrong with it and just filed a claim on paypal. I won the claim buy providing the right evidence to paypal (I was actually shocked I won because they never favor the seller). So now the buyer keeps contacting me and asking to refund his money. So my question is should I even respond to him if paypal already closed the case, and is there anything the seller can really do now that the case is closed?
Just put him on your blocked list and move on, at least that's what I would do.

There's nothing really left to do. I think he is still able to leave feedback which might be red but if he slips and threatens/curses/etc. you can get it removed quickly.

He got his item, you got your money.

might be a silly question, but Im about to replace the cracked screen on an iPhone 4. Do white and black iPhones yield the same prices or do consumers prefer one over the other when it comes to used iPhones?

Have flipped only 1 item the last 3 months...

I'm out of idea's what to flip, there are some really big Apple flippers in my area so I need to focus on other things.

Next friday I will have at least 1 item flipped, even if its only for a 3 dollar profit.

It's definitely doable. There's a few things that help a lot. Paying $16 per month greatly reduces your eBay fees. It pays for itself in no time. I think without a store, it's 10%, while with a store my main category is 6%. Plus still 3% to PayPal though. On top of that, being a Top-Rated Seller gets you a 20% discount on your total fees for the month. So $1000 in fees (at 10%) becomes $480 (in a 6% category with TRS, at least). You also get some shipping discounts, I think from just being a Powerseller.

But the money is really in how much exposure you can easily get on eBay. Hundreds of people can see your listing, compared to trying to build up your own site/brand. And people generally pay higher prices on eBay than other places...who knows why.

Made my first flip of the week, little profit so on to the next flip!

Im not flipping on ebay, just two free listing sites. One of them is a site for people from my area so no shipping because they will pick it up.

An opportunity for any of you guys from Arizona. I recently decided I needed to simplify my life after some big changes happened. I'm getting rid of about 90% of my wardrobe- lots of nice clothes and if anyone is up up to buy the lot of them- I guarantee you can make a load of profit. Currently 5 trash bags worth. There is a suit in there, bodybuilding shirts, dress pants, board shorts, socks, boxers, t shirts, dress shirts. Willing to meet up, just want to get rid of them ASAP. Pm me if interested. With starting my new position at work I just don't have the patience to measure, list, and sell them right now and they are taking up lot of space

    Need advice.

Had a woman buy a cubic zirconia ring at auction for $7.70. I shipped it quickly and she negged me 4 days later. She said it "looks like a dime store ring" . WTF did she expect, the Hope Diamond? I started it at $3.95 with free shipping and she bid it up to $7.70. I offered twice to refund her money, but she won't answer my messages through Ebay. I did a little snooping and see that she has the same ring listed at auction for $3.95 plus shipping. Should I buy it and neg her in to oblivion? What should I do? I would like to get rid of this, my only neg.

Did her negative feedback just say " looks like a dime store ring"?
