A RB will always make more of a difference because he gets the ball and makes it happen. A great WR at best touches the ball 4-7 times a game on average and in our case it would be less than that. Vjax and MW would take up the targets and lets not forget our coaches strategy of sticking with the run no matter what

The NFL draft is nothing but guesswork and assumptions. Complete crap-shoot. Some players you assume will perform at a higher level, but nothing is certain.
You still misunderstand: The Austin trade was contingent upon us signing 1-2 starting cornerbacks in free agency. We did NOT sign any FA corners, so that point is mute.
You said we need DLine depth, a LB, TE's, a RT... we weren't going to fill all those holes in one offseason. We added DLine depth, we added LBs, and signed Crabtree.
As for Milliner, the price in draft picks is too high to move up 9-10 spots would be too high. If we had better FA signings or more picks maybe.

THE NFL IS A PASSING LEAGUE. Understand that. You run to win but you throw to score. You’re not going to win games just by running the football.
The more receivers you have, the better. If one goes down your team doesn't go to ****. What if VJax went down for a season? If he's your only receiving threat, you're screwed. The more talent your QB has to distribute the ball to, the better your team will be. Look @ NE, ATL, NO, DEN, etc. who have multiple receiving threats.
It doesn't matter that the great receivers average about 7 balls per game or that a running back gets more touches. Why do you think they have such a short shelf-life?
Adding Austin (unless he busts) improves our offense. It's another playmaker defensive coordinators have to account for. It's another way to score points and convert 1st downs. If we added another beast at receiver you don't think Sully and Schiano would dial up the number of passes in the playcalling?★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

He was a kid dude. Even though he's a quarterback and should command respect in the huddle, he was just a kid.

It doesn't matter if we're not going to fill all those holes in one draft. We still need to address our weaknesses and they are mainly on the defensive side of the ball.
Our free agent signings are pathetic outside of Dashon, the rest arent anything to write home about.
In regards to TE we lost Dallas who was grossly misused have Stocker, Crabtree, and other developmental players. Sorry brah we need to get someone who's and adequate blocker and decent reliable hands who can supplement our offense.
In regards to LB's we have Mason and Lavonte and nothing else. We lost Quincy who was overpaid and was incosistent as fck to put it lightly. We need an adequate player at strong side. If you think signing castillas is going to fix that problem you're delusional. I expect a mid round LB to be drafted to take the starting position.
D line we have problems. Clay and McCoy are bright spots. Bowers is a question mark with his injury history and knee thats going to blow up sooner or later. We lost miller who was solid I guess. We also didnt resign Bennett who was our best performing lineman last season (i believe the FO wants to see what bowers has so they let him go) Selvie is intriguing and that's about it.
In regards to the draft it doesn't take bunch of picks to move up anymore. We can easily slide up to the 6-9th pick with just the 2nd round to grab the best corner in the draft. We're already willing to give up a first and more for revis I don't think an extra 2nd round pick to move up to fill our biggest hole with a solid prospect is that concern.
Will address you're silliness at WR in the next post

Lets get this out the way. There are no viable #1 corners on the market for this team right now. We're not signing anybody. If you look at the way our FA moves have gone you can tell were going to address it in the draft or through a trade. With that said
Everyone knows it's a passing league. What is your point? We already signed ogletree who has skill and Steve smith who can return to form if all goes well. If you paid attention to our team last year you would also see that the coach ran the ball no matter what. Dive dive 3rd and long was the recipe for a while.
Adding Austin clutters what is arguably our strongest position. It's literally the worst move we can make.
I question your knowledge of our teams roster, the way our team works, the draft process and the NFL in general.
If we don't trade for revis were double dipping corners. Milliner Banks, Trufant or Revis with our number #1 this year. The only other option will be Star if he has a tumble due to health issues.
The second corner will be probably be "The honey badger" in the 3rd or 4th

Your lack of reading comprehension scares me. Clearly said we added DEPTh, not playmakers, DEPTh.
1) DL: We lost Miller and Bennett. Bennett had a good season, but neither is irreplacable. Run D was good with them, it will be good without them.
2) TE: Last time I checked Clark wasn't gone, we just don't know if he'll be back. Regardless, our TEs need to be able to block. That's it. They're not going to be catching a lot of passes. I think that Crabtree can do that. Also have yet to see the TE we drafted out of NU last year. If he's healthy, he might be able to ball. Unless we drafted a TE like Ertz or Eifert, I don't the position featuring in prominently in this system.
3) Probably going to draft a LB. Don't be surprised if Khaseem Greene ends up a Buc. Never said that Cutrera or Casillas was an anything but depth.
As for draft picks, it actually does cost a lot to move up. Last year the Skins moved from 6 to 2 to take RG3. 4 spots. They gave up a 2012 #6, a 2012 #39, and their 2013 and 2014 1st rounders. I realize this draft class isn't as electric as last years, but to think you can move from 13 to to no later than 6th to take Milliner for "with just the 2nd round" is retarded. Good luck jumping 7+ spots in the 1st round. Milliner may not even make it to 6th, let alone 9th: some mocks have him going as high as 2nd . With only 8 picks this draft, we have too many holes to even think about moving up.
Also, Revis > *, especially a prospect. That's all Milliner is, an unproven talent at the NFL level.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

I understand we're not signing ****. The word "assuming" can in fact mean hypothetically, as in if we had signed 2 viable starting corners.
IF we drafted Austin, the coach would use him. You don't take a wideout that high to if you don't intend on using him. Just because we ran 1st doesn't mean we have to run 1st. A lot of that was probably a result of Free's inconsistency @ quarterback.
Ogletree and Smith aren't much more than camp bodies. We let Benn go so here they are. Goes back to that thing we call DEPTH. If Austin was drafted, it doesn't confuse ****. VJax 1, Williams 2, Austin 3. Everybody else is backing up someone or is cut. VERY simple.
Milliner will not be a Buc and neither will Honey Booboo. Lol @ thinking an undersized potsmoking manlet will be starting corner on this team. We've had enough arrested players, we don't need any more.
Rhodes > Trufant > Banks. Remember that. If Rhodes is there and we still have a 1st round pick, there's a good chance he comes to Tampa. As for Star, there are alternatives later in the draft. Expect either Austin or Rhodes if we draft @ 13.

We added camp bodies that's about it. At best. We need D Lineman that are going to be able to step in and play at at an average starter level. The guys we have now wont be able to. We have nothing at the NT position right now. How do you figure our run d will be good without them? That's just an asinine statement at best.
Clark is gone. He is not signed with the team. He is gone. Whether you want to hold
On to some fantasy that he's still here or not. This is a PASSING League remember? Pass catching TEs are a big part of the evolution of the league. This isn't the 60s tight ends aren't on the field
To just block anymore. We need one.
Agree with 3
The cowboys traded from 14th to 6th last year with just a second round pick. You have to remember the skins traded for RG3 and the bounty was higher because multiple teams wanted the pick. Some mocks have him falling to 8-9th pick I think if he makes it below top 5 we have a solid shot to get him with just a second rounder and use our third on. Someone like Tyrann and hope for the best.

If you understand fully that were arent signing any FA CB why bring it up then? The market hasn't changed from
The day you made the thread to today. Then you have the audacity to say I lack football knowledge. Are you dense?
Ogletree is not just a camp body. He has the ability to produce. He didn't decent last year 700+ yards and 4 TDs which is great for a 3rd WR
Were never touching Austin period and it's ignorant to even think it. The fluidity of
Draft positions is at an all time high and with the amount of gamble
Dom has expressed this off season we may just go after who we want
You clearly don't pay attention to football as much as you think you do.

1. Last time I checked 4-3 one gap systems didn't have Nose Tackles. DT ≠ NT.
2. Clark is not under contract. Did not know if he would come back or not. Still haven't heard anything official. Either way, I'm sure his 435 yds, 4 TDs will be missed. However, Crabtree caught 8 passes, 3 of which went for touchdowns. If we give him Clark's 47 passes, I'm sure he won't disappoint.
It is a passing league, but no one said those passes have to go to a TE. WR > TE still when it comes to catching passes. TEs are on the field to do whatever they are told to do. Lot of teams do not have a great receiving TE- Green Bay immediately comes to mind. When you can create mismatches with good receivers, you don't have to throw it to a TE. Furthermore, most teams with great receiving TEs do not have great receivers. NE had Welker, now the have no wideouts.
3. Haven't seen a mock (by a professional) in which Milliner drops lower than 6th. Slim chance of taking him there if that team also wanted him.
4. Already told you Honey Booboo won't be a Buccaneer. Why reach in the 3rd for a corner like him when you could take someone like Alford or Amerson?★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

If his yearly salary is less than 13 mil then I'm ok with this. We can still pick up a solid corner in the 2nd or package that with our extra 4th to jump back into the end of the first.

Heard it's closer to $15 or 16mil, might take less if more cash is guaranteed. Needs clauses that penalize him cash if he tries to hold out.
Three picks dude: the 2013 13th [1st round], the 73rd [2nd round], ANDeither the 181st or the 196th [6th round]. Apparently the Jets don't think that is good enough and want MOAR.
Probably take a linebacker, a defensive end, a defensive tackle, and maybe another corner with the other picks. Might also add oline depth or a weapon on offense. Only have 8 this year.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★

Fuk the draft picks. Revis will have a huge impact on our defense immediately. We won't even need to draft another corner. Bring back Eric Wright.
We generally suck at drafting anyways. Shutdown corner for draft picks? Yes, thank you very much. They couldn't go back to the Greasers
All they could do was pick up the pieces

Wright isn't gone, he'll just be taking a pay cut.
I think the contract put a lot of pressure on Wright. He was awful and is not an ideal starter, but if Revis came to Tampa Wright could be serviceable for the year, after which we can draft another corner.
^This. With the right deal and a physical before the trade, I think Revis would make a huge difference. You go from having one of the worst secondaries of all time to top 5 overnight. Barron, Revis, Goldson, Wright, and any corner(s) they might add. Keep Johnson for depth and our defense is much improved.★ ★ ★ ★ ★ Tampa Bay Skeletors ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
