    Arrow Portable, Free-Standing Pull-Up Bar

Hi, I'm having trouble finding a pull-up "bar", or rather a simple pull-up station, that can be used indoors and is ...

    1. portable (NO attachments to the property - e.g. wall, ceiling or floor)

    2. free-standing (rests on the ground, not requiring it to be fixed against a door frame, etc.)

    3. commercial and assembly-ready (a purchasable product designed for this purpose, with components already made and ready to be assembled; i.e. I do not have to find my own materials and build it from scratch)

Barring that, please refer me to some wall-mounted ones that can be disassembled relatively easily without causing much damage to the property.

The vast majority of the pull-up bars in the market currently seem to be door-mounted ones, which do not work for the place I'm looking to set one up at.

    Thanks!

I seen a pull up/dip stand at a goodwill in arizona a year ago.. was a little rough, ripped padding, but nothing a few spray cans and new fabric couldn't take care of. this was out of state and I didn't have a truck with me, so I could not get it. But mannn i been checking out my local goodwills in hopes that they get something like that, but my goodwills never have anything good lol. For the $20 (if i recall) they wanted for it, i think that was a steal.

If you have exposed beams in your basement I'd suggest looking towards rings... Other than that you might as well just get a cheap power rack for the price you're going to end up paying for a power tower type thing.

Ironmind ALight http://www.ironmind-store.com/NEW-AL...ductinfo/1480/ and Trapeze http://trapezerigging.com/FreeStandi...ablePullupBar/ all I've seen for US. This http://www.hotgym.co.uk/ looks pretty interesting.

A quality power tower will run ~$200+ new. I don't know what kind of portability you're looking for but might as well get http://www.roguefitness.com/s2-squat-stand.php for the prices that the truly portable ones charge. That's assuming you don't need that much portability.

Wall mounted that can be disassembled quickly? Don't think you'll find anything there. And what for? Hiding from landlord? Maybe you can take out the crossbeam out of a setup like this quickly http://www.roguefitness.com/p3-pullup-system.php

I've owned the ironmind pullup bar, and the hotgym. They are both well made. The hotgym is a feat of engineering, built with very good materials, and one of the be paint jobs I've seen on a piece of equipment.

If you are after 'vehicle portable', go with the ironmind.

But if you are after something you can carry to the park then the hotgym is perfect.

If you want something you can dissasemble each workout then the HG will drive you mad as you are assembling it from scratch each time.

If I lived in the states, I would probably go with the TAPS bar.

I have the TAPS chin up system (bought from Torque athletic). It's really nice. The bar is 1.5 inch. If you prefer a 1.25 inch bar, the Rogue S2 would be a good choice.

There are also some very cool hitch-mounted chin up bars that look very easy to put up and take down-
