Ty bro. I'm at sea level and am gonna look into whether or not the jets have been changed. It's a 1997 so it could already be dialed in idk. A lot can happen to a bike in those years obviously. Lol, I wasn't even planning to buy a bike but my friend said I can take it for $800 and it runs good and is ready to ride. Couldn't pass that up.

hahah yeah, the suspension is already revalved by Race Tech, I think that's what the stickers said. Tbh I've always hated XR forks but they'll probably be fine for the street I guess. I did a really brief search the other day and saw the 440cc kit, looked pretty sick. The bike had some torque though, pulled the front wheel from the ground fairly easily. The first thing that I'm gonna do is take the Pro Tapers form my CR and stick them on the XR. Love them Pro Tapers

Can someone answer this for me please?
Let's say I'm coming to a stop and I'm in 4th. I downshift to 3rd, then 2nd, but can't anymore for whatever reason because I'm already too close to the next car. Will stopping at 2nd, then shifting to Neutral hurt the bike, or is it a must you downshift correctly to the correct gear before a stop?
Sorry if that's a bit unclear....."ERMUHGAWD Crew"

Just hold the clutch in and stop. You could be in 6th gear and stopped so long as that clutch is held in brah.Granted you don't wanna do that obviously.
While your stopped on second and the clutch is held just kick down to 1st or neutral. Your choice. Nothing bad will happen.*Always Pick 3 Crew*

no it does not
both had the slipper clutch ( 03/04 only the 599 had slipper)
the 6RR (the 599) has an adjustable swing arm pivot
the engine stamp will also say 600 or 636 in it somewhere, the frame stamp should as well
the 599 has better suspension then the 636
the 599 has a closer gear ratio & higher compression.... with race fuel it would pump out higher numbers than the 636 lol
im sure thats it.... but i feel like im forgetting something.*Knee Draggers Crew*

Looks like fun! You should find a screenshot that you like and send it to me.
Please sell and make a profit. I can't stand the same color wheels/bike ratio. Ew.
I bleed my brakes like that once a year. Easiest way to do it. I do use a pump on the left caliper though because I always have trouble reaching the brake lever.*LF Chat Crew

I ride MX and also love my tarmac stomping street warrior brethren. We all gotta get along because we all love riding for the same reasons. No one is more core than anyone else, we're all just throttle twisters. Man vs. machine braap braaaaaaaap.

That's a good question man... clutch control is everything when it comes to a bike bro.
You were the brah about to take the course, right? This is a big part of why I recommend the course. It's the little things that are more important.
When I originally took the course the two biggest surprises were stopping/starting on a hill and using the front break with the wheel fully turned.
In both instances riders flew backwards and dropped the bike to whatever side... scary stuff to learn in the real world/traffic. At least in a controlled setting only so much can go wrong.
