if you could ask any famous rapper who is the top 10 best rappers alive.. eminems name will always be mentioned he is no where near irrelevant yet.. youre talking about him as if hes ***** mane or waka flocka when in reality hes rapped with the best of them and made 100's of hit songs and at least 100 million dollars to show for it..

Dude, are you even serious? Dr. Dre and DJ Quik were doing it over two decades ago. The rapper/producer thing is old hat at this point. Timbaland was doing it fifteen years ago. Missy Elliot was a ghost writer, rapper, and producer. Before thugs and gangsters ever got involved you had KRS One, Black Sheep, Leaders of The New School, Lords of The Underground, EPMD, Run DMC, L.L Cool J, Kool Moe Dee, and hundreds of other non gangsters. At one point the theme of hip-hop was "each one teach one."
Your knowledge of the history of hip hop is extremely lacking.
Plus, do you think his style is really revolutionary? His materialistic bent is about the same as a million other rappers before and after.Back In the Driver Seat with ErgoDrive

you must have a screw loose brah, because the RZA stomps kanye. kanye could never produce a dope minimalist beat like the RZA does. he's too focused on gloss and layering, there's so much happening in his songs that it becomes difficult to notice their shortcomings, but that doesn't mean there aren't any. RZA has produced some average chit, but let's not forget OB4CL, 36 chambers, wu-tang forever, liquid swords etc.

In a classic sense, real hip-hop word play, Em would eat Kanye. Kayne is better at producing idiotic publicity that keeps people coming back. He is the Jim Morrison of rap. A self absorbed and deluded individual that has developed a following through shenanigans more than work or work ethic. A lot of his stuff is catchy though. Even when you hate him, you catch yourself listening. That takes a certain charisma and talent.

Yep, Masai "Almost Home" is probably one of the best albums of the year so far.
Now, you get in to the debate what is the difference between hip-hop and rap? Is there a difference? Is hip-hop the culture and rap just an element? Does hip-hop even matter with the commercialization of Rap? The statement "hip-hop is dead" is bigger than most of the people saying it realize. It is a question about more than what is on the radio.Back In the Driver Seat with ErgoDrive

A lot of the connection early on was his way of approaching things. Dude rapped about working at GAP. He also approaches music with a strong understanding and eclectic taste. He won people for being knowledgeable and looking at things in a different way. He lost all of his humility shortly after he signed with Jay-Z.
Now he gets a lot of connections because he has a following. Everybody wants on a profitable bandwagon. Plus, he still has an ear for music that stands out. Kanye does know the difference between good and bad music.Back In the Driver Seat with ErgoDrive

Yeezus the GOAT can do whatever the f*ck he wants.
"Penitentiary chances, the devil dances
And eventually answers to the call of Autumn
All of them fallin’ for the love of ballin’
Got caught with 30 rocks, the cop look like Alec Baldwin
Inter century anthems based off inner city tantrums
Based off the way we was branded
Face it, Jerome get more time than Brandon
And at the airport they check all through my bag
And tell me that it’s random
But we stay winning, this week has been a bad massage
I need a happy ending and a new beginning
And a new fitted, and some job opportunities that's lucrative
This the real world, homie, school finished
They done stole your dreams, you dunno who did it
I treat the cash the way the government treats AIDS
I won’t be satisfied til all my n*ggas get it, get it?"

Why is it as people start to get close to Jay Z they acquire his narcissism? Beyonce's telling bishes to bow down, Kanye's thinking he's a god. Yezzy used to be humble, but then his corny ass started feeling himself too much

Been following Kanye for a while now and he's one of my favorite artists and also favorite celebrity (because he admits his flaws and isn't a fake f*ck like 99% of celebrities). People also kinda exaggerate his ego - he does it too himself. He is actually a pretty nice guy in the end, not that I know him but I have seen videos of him around people he knows and he seems like a chill dude. He's definitely not as big of an a**hole as people make him. You can't really blame him for his ego/arrogance for all the hate he gets + he grew up having record labels/producers etc tell him that he couldn't rap for sh*t. Now they're all trying to ride his d*ck... if I was him, I too would give the middle finger to everyone in the industry and only work with people close to me like Jay-Z.
As for the album people named "I AM GOD" I honestly doubt Ye would go ahead and do that - he is far too religious for that. I can see a song on the album being called that but then it would be in a different context and not about Ye claiming to be God.
