We've tried to do this before and it died out but this time I will keep the damn thing going by my self if need be.
To start it off, an interesting article on what Jennings could do for Ponder and what Harvin wasn't doing:

Excited to see what we can do with Jennings, especially with Wright in the slot, and a Healthy Simpson.
I know a lot of people are saying Jennings=Harvin and we are in the same situation as we were last year, but I think Wright=Harvin to an extent. obviously nowhere near as good, but he will be a similar weapon. Jennings gives us another type of player.Yankees - Vikings - Sixers

I think that Jennings being where he is supposed to be, having better hands and being more of a team guy will help Ponder. Not that Jennings is better than Harvin, but he's probably better for the Vikes than Harvin was. It's pretty bad when you run routes so bad they don't call plays downfield for you because they don't trust you to be in the right spot at the right time.
Wright is somewhat similar to Harvin in the passing game, but he's not as powerful and he's not the freak of nature that Harvin is. However, I think he can make a very good slot WR and I think if Simpson is healthy he can make a decent 2nd/3rd WR and if you toss in a good deep threat sort of player in the draft then the Vikes are looking decent at WR.
They will miss Harvin in the returns and versatilty but if they can get Tavon Austin they replace a lot of that.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

Sherels actually did pretty decent, he's a little shifty but lacks the burst that Harvin has.
Sherels average 26.4 per kick return last year which puts him in the top ten. He was pretty average as punt returner though.
Eitherway, if they get Tavon Austin that would be an upgrade in the return game.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

Innn on this, will deff help to keep this thread active. I for one am completely content with what we've done this offseason. Percy was a headache and couldn't stay healthy. Plus when it comes down to it you need a QB, and at the end of last season Ponder was looking like he was starting to make some progress.

IN!
I disagree, I think Sherels is one of the better punt returners in the game, You never see him botch catching a punt.
I was listening to KFAN earlier and a caller called in and suggested trading one of our first round picks maybe a later rounder for fitzgerald hnnnnngggg no way that would happen but can you imagine no more stacking the box. good god.

I'm hoping Cassel makes Ponder work harder. Theres a big difference in starting over Cassel than there is starting over Webb and ***.
He does a good job on punts, its always a benefit to have confidence the guys not gonna muff the ball. I just think hes a little too slow to be returning kickoffs.Yankees - Vikings - Sixers

I used to like the Vikings, but like the Chargers the only thing this team is good for is drafting elite talent, developing it for a couple of years and then letting that talent go during the peak of their careers. I honestly feel so bad for AP he is the only reason I would ever watch a Vikings game anymore. Ponder is complete garbage, they have no WR's anymore and the defense is not nearly as stern as it used to be. AP would average 2000 yards a season on any other team except the Vikings and maybe 5 other teams. Poor guy.. He is too nice to just leave though.

Yeah, best case is he's a part time player at MLB which wouldn't be bade for the Vikes if they end up starting a Rookie at that spot. However, if he won't sign with the Bears for what he's worth then he's not signing with the Vikes either. I think he's probably not worth much more than league minimum.

Loadholdt was borderline PB worthy, Kalil was one of the most dominant tackles in the league as a rookie and Sullivan quietly has become one of the better centers in the league. Charlie Johnson is average and Fusco is average but pretty good considering we drafted him in the 6th round in 2011 and converted him from center to G.
Chances are the Vikes OL will only get better with Fusco and Kalil being young. Loadholt probably has peaked and Charlie Johnson never peaked but probably never will....but at least he's better OG than OT.Vikings--Wolves-Gophers

Kalil is the biggest reason we went 10-6 in my opinion. I was worried he was going to turn into another McKinnie, I didn't know a whole lot about him prior to the season. Without him the line goes from really good to bad. He makes the whole line better. Hoping for another good draft from Spiel
