Seattle is a very good run team, but you can't expect to win giving up that many rushing yards.

Even though the Vikings lost, I think they showed they can compete with the good teams. Vikings need Thielen back and need Cook to stay healthy. I really think the Vikings will be just fine as long as Cousins keeps playing well.

Rhodes need to get back in gear. There were some questionable missed calls not thrown against Seattle with the false starts and a few Celebrations that were unnecessary.

Eh, Wilson is kind of like the new Rodgers for us. We simply can't beat the guy, similar to Rodgers from 2010-2014 until either Zim finally figured Rodgers out or his play dipped enough for us to contain/beat him.

With AT out, we really have zilch behind Diggs. Bisi Johnson had been over-producing for a late round rookie, but it caught up to him last night--he stunk. Didn't get anything out of Irv Smith either. Treadsloth is what he is, but we already knew that.

Kind of crazy that 12-4 might only get you the last Wild Card spot in the NFC this year.........

it's crazy to me that in a situation where they had to sell out to stop the run (2 and a half minutes left, all timeouts left), they gave up 6 yards on 1st and 10, it just changed the dynamics of everything. kind of encapsulated the game as a whole. carson only had that one big run that was 25 yards, it was just consistently gaining more than they should almost every play that let the seahawks dominate possession.

i'm starting to believe the hype about people on the vikings who say rudolph has the best hands they've seen. he has obvious limitations that prevent him from racking up the numbers, but it's like he puts the ball in a vice grip when he catches it

Seattle is a good team. You gotta give them credit. They're a run heavy team and with Wilson's ability to scramble and extend plays, they're a hard team to defend. That being said, it was concerning to see the Vikings give up 200 yards on the ground.

Zimmer and the defense will work to improve on that performance. The biggest take away for me was that the Vikings hung around with Seattle and had chances to win the game. Cousins didn't chit the bed. In fact, I thought he played well and took care of the ball. The INT was a tough one, but the defender made a fantastic catch to intercept it.

Next week, with Thielen back (hopefully) and Cousins playing well, I think the Vikings have a good chance of winning their division.

yeah, i thought the vikings played well overall in a tough situation, especially the offense with an undermanned group. i think cook is awesome obviously, but mattison is great as well, i wasn't all that concerned with him not coming back.

with the exception of the bears game, all the vikings other losses have been close road losses against good teams. unfortunately that's what the path in the playoffs is gonna be.

This was the defense that was supposed to show up week in and week out--to make Kirk's job really easy. Unfortunately we just haven't seen this kind of performance from our defense much this year. The Chargers absolutely mailed it in during the 2nd half.......

Yeah, defense played very well, but Chargers are a mess and gave up like you said. Still a good game to gain some momentum heading into the playoffs.

Green Bay next up. Unfortunately, even if the Vikings win, the Packers hold the tie breaker as they have a better division record and Packers have the Lions to end the season.

    Any updates on Cook?

Our luck... Thielen returns and same game Cook gets injured.

Hopefully it's not serious. Would really like to see him healthy for the Packers game.

Yeah, winning the division isn't gonna happen. However, with the 9ers shockingly losing to the Falcons--the #5 seed is within reach. We would need to win out and have the 9ers lose one more game (they have Rams and Seahawks left).

All Zimmer said was it is a NEW injury. It isn't related to the chest/shoulder issue he'd been dealing with the last few weeks. He was laughing and joking around on the sideline after going out yesterday though, so I think he'll play. Boone actually looked really good when he came in too.

even if they don't get the division (which they definitely won't, there's no way green bay loses to the lions), getting the 5 seed is huge. even if both san fran and seattle win in week 16 as expected, the vikings just need the seahawks at home to beat the 49ers in week 17 to get the 5 seed (assuming vikings win the last 2 games). really not that unlikely. i think san fran beating the rams on saturday may put the vikings in a mindset of "well, we're in anyways" going into the green bay game tho.

Yeah, getting 5th seed would be huge. Get 6th seed and play the Saints in NO or play Dallas in Dallas. I'll gladly take on Dallas over the Saints.

They have two other viable options for a good rotation. Thank you for your valuable insight

Yeah they’re really running him into the ground with those 9 whole carries he had yesterday before getting dinged up.

Don't mind the homer. He never adds any value when he posts.

If Cook does miss time, Mattison has been very good this season in the limited role he's getting. I'd have no concerns with him carrying the load.

Good win but the Chargers quit a long time ago, playing an away game every week. RIP Rivers.

Even if cook couldn’t play Boone looked very good almost reminded me of cook with the way he shifts his body. The depth at running back will be huge

Boone has had two really good preseasons in a row, but sometimes guys are preseason-wonder's feasting on backup defenders. He looked legit vs the Chargers though. Runs hard and his vision was what impressed me most. Watch how many times he cut/altered his direction on the 8 yard TD run. Really saw those blocks developing beforehand, rather than just trying to run through his lineman's backs like a lot of young RB's tend to do.

i'm not too concerned about cook tbh. obviously the vikings are better off with him in, but their RB depth is insane

Vikings opened up as 4.5 point favorites at home, so people think they'll win. Personally, I do have to give the edge to the Vikings. Playing at home, have Thielen back, Cousins playing well and defense coming off a strong performance. I haven't been impressed with GB this season. I think their record is a bit misleading. Not to say they can't win, but my money will be on the Vikings.

Yes, we got them at home this time. They barely beat the Vikes in GB and with Cousins having his worst game of the season by a mile.
