I dont care if the only draft defense and O-line in the draft. Throw in a WR also.

is this post srs??? We have a great TE already, obviously dont need a RB, and we have a young developing QB. So what you said is draft any position other than TE, RB, and QB, which we obviously wont draft....

I don't think they will be spending any early round picks on OL. They are set at OT and Center. Fusco did well in his first year as starter and OG being converted from center. Charlie Johnson was average, so no huge need right now on OL. They might pick up a developmental type of OL in the later rounds. I would expect our first 2 rounds to be LB/DT/WR/CB.

    Should have clarified.

I am always okay with o-line picks in the later round with what we have now. I would like to see a DT, LB, and DB picked early. I honestly, think WRs e so hit and miss early in the draft, that I could care less when they get the WR.

Cobi Hamilton is my personal favorite for a late round WR, would be tremendous value in the 4th and I could definitely see him developing into a great #2/3 some day..

Its tough to tell. I am down for both a tall WR or a Short one. Keenan Allen makes me nervous with his injury issues. Wouldn't Mind getting Marcus Wheaton but it looks like he will be gone in the first 2-3 rounds. If we could attempt to get Brandon Kaufman in one of the latest rounds I wouldnt complain either. I watched him play in college and the dude is big.

Watched some clips of Hamilton. He seems impressive. Do you think Childs career is pretty much over?

I really hope we arent the ones getting Teo in the first round. I wouldnt be surprised though.

I think you can mark down a LB with one of our first three picks. With no cap room and no clear starter on the roster right now there's no other choice given Jared Allen and Kevin Williams are unlikely to restructure contracts.

The other 1st rounder and a 2nd rounder will most likely go CB/WR/DT by BPA at one of those three positions.

    If I had to guess:

    #23-Keenan Allen
    #25- Sylvester Willaims
    #52- Te'o/Minter/Reddick

I think the Vikes would be OK rolling into the season with Te'o, Minter or Reddick starting. They may have to move up to get Minter, Te'o may still be there at 52 and Reddick should go right around the Vikes pick. So the good news is that if Oglestree goes before the Vikes pick in the 1st they can still get a good MLB in the 2nd and also fill needs at WR and DT.

The list of guys to look at for the Vikes are:

    Sylvester Williams
    Keenan Allen
    Manti Te'o
    Kevin Minter
    Kevin Reddick
Tavon Austin (I think will be gone already)
Kevin Ogletree (I think Will be gone already)
    Kawann Short
    Justin Hunter

I would bet the first 3 picks will be from this list.

I'm optimistic Childs can get back on the field, but that doesn't mean that the Vikings shouldn't shore up the position.. As we all know.

I probably sound like a broken record here, but I would have absolutely zero problems with Te'o in the 1st. Honestly don't give two fuks about the hoax thing, there are much MUCH worse problems for incoming prospects to have (Harvin was a pothead and we still drafted him FFS). And although he did play poorly in the championship game, you can't discredit all the other amazing games he had last season. I mean, 7 INT's is unheard of for a MLB guise..

I'm still confident that Te'o will improve his 40 today at ND's pro day, along w/ the other drills.

With all that being said, it's a great year to have a hole to fill at MLB. Ogletree/Brown/Te'o/Minter are all great prospects that can step into a starting position from day one.

Te'o just ran a 4.71, 40 at the pro day so that puts him on par with Ogletree and Reddick. Will be interesting to see if Minter improves his 40 on Wed as well.

I think this probably pushes him back up into the bottom of the 1st round.

As much as I'd love to get Childs on the field I doubt it. The guy might not even be able to walk the same after the third time injuring the same part of the knee, 2 time on the same knee. If he can get back on the field I dont count on him being that good. it sucks, he could have been good.

Look no further than Cederic Griffin, good potential but never the same after two ACLs and Childs case is probably much worse.

One ACL is a big enough problem, it only gets worse when its reoccurring. Childs could surprise and come back, but I'm not counting on it. Even if he did come back 100% healthy, when was the last time he even played football? its hard to stay at that level

If he can even get back on the field at all this year it will most likely be a throw away year. He's not AP coming of a first time ACL (MCL & PCL as well I guess) and he's not the genetic freak AP is either.

I would actually be more nervous about bringing in Honey Badger than Teo. Honey Badger seems like too much of a head case.

Yes, but he's probably going to be a 4th rounder not a 1st rounder so less risk if it doesn't workout.

He's not the fastest guy in the draft but he seems to be a playmaker so he's worth risking a 4th-5th rounder on if you need CB help. He's the sort of guy that if you can screw his head on straight could be a very good CB in the NFL.

Absolutely, and the guy plays at 110%.. Always just flying around the field

There's a reason he was runner up for the heisman

I feel like this team could possibly screw his head on right. A guy like Jared Allen who has had fair share of past troubles could take him under his wing. heck a few years ago this entire team had their fair share of troubles

Pro football talks mock has us taking Geno Smith 23rd. Hes no way going to fall to us there, but the question is, if he somehow did, would you take him at 23rd?

I'd say you'd have to take him at that point.

Ponder is making progress, but I think it's clear he's not going to be a top 5-6 QB in this league. He may be a perfectly serviceable QB but Smith could be a star. You just can't pass that up unless you have one of the top QBs in the league or you just spent a top 5 pick on a QB.

For me Ponder has shown enough not to give up on him but not so much that I'd pass on a potential star.

Highly doubt he falls that far in the draft.

I am no fan of Ponder but I am very reluctant to use a draft pick on a QB

    Winfield could visit Washington:

But says another offer just came in that could cancel that visit. Vikes?

I would hope so! especially if we are talking Honey Badger. Winfield would be a great mentor. much needed especially with Chris Cook being the veteran of the group, with a whopping 22 games played, and a domestic abuse case.
