I have a couple that I wear sometimes either when working out or just as casual with hoodies since I wear athletic clothes most of the time. I never thought of them as bad. I mean they are comfortable, and they look better than the sloppy baggy sweat pants I wear sometimes. Anyways, my older sister recently visited me and she got really argumentative with me because she's made a really narrow minded statement that girls who wear yoga pants are attention seeking and that only "sluts" wear them. I told her that there are bigger problems in the world than girls wearing yoga pants lol. She got mad at me. I am still really upset over this, because women are always being judged over what they wear. I understand that it's a totally different story if a woman walks around in her undergarments and then she is being judged. Why don't people make a huge deal about a guy wearing a tight shirt???

Holy moly. Yoga pants? Slutty? I take it she doesn't watch Jersey Shore. Yes, they accentuate curves, but slutty........I think that's just cray. Are you comfortable in what you're wearing to the gym? If so, that's all that matters. For me, if I'm trying to snatch or clean and jerk, I can't have baggy clothes covering my legs. I think the yoga capris or shorts are just more practical and functional for what I do in the gym. There's a big difference between wearing yoga pants and a tank top and wearing yoga pants with a pushup sports bra. One is attention-seeking, one is not. Do you, honey.

Some people do.
Wearing a tight shirt or a mesh tank top or anything of the sort makes a few people I know think I'm a shallow, narcissistic meathead with no interests other than my body and weights. In some cases their obsession with this belief is so extreme that even after they get to know me and find that I spend twice as much time studying as I spend lifting and about as much time downtown at night as I spend at the gym, they still refuse to let these preconceptions go.
I don't bother with trying to get through to people like this. They have no hope of ever being able to understand. They're too myopic.
Sucks that she's your sister tho. Out of curiosity does your sis have a noticably uglier body than you? Might have something to do with her obvious jealousy.

Just don't wear them to the office. lol...
And, I have to say this, large women need to stop wearing skin-tight leggings with short tops. Really.
I am in no way referring to the royasa, just an observation about gals I see in public everday.
royasa, what you choose to wear in your own house is entirely up to you!No drama: You know where we are.

Agreed. If you wear them to get attention than you are wearing them to get attention. If you are wearing them because you feel good about yourself and it doesn't matter what the feed back you get is then you are not seeking attention.
I wear a two piece swim suit to the beach in the summer... with my children... I am not looking for attention; I am just wearing a swim suit that I like how I look in -- and I am not going to sleep with anyone who looks my way. And I'd love to meet the fool who thinks they can attack me for what I wear!Insta @BAKANfit

i wear yoga/running tights almost everyday, as does most every young woman where i live. it's part of the lifestyle and no big deal.
the only time i've had negative feedback on them was a few months ago when i was on the bus on my way home. the woman seated in front of me must have had an EXTREMELY bad day happening. she was constantly cursing to herself, then called her phone company customer service to tell them (loudly) they were a bunch of fuking morons. then she started insulting two teenage girls next to her for dressing like sluts. on public transport.
i got off at the same stop as her. she informed me i had no style with my ass hanging out and should wear a pair of pants ffs. i suggested she go fuk herself"The human race is still largely a group of monkeys with slightly better grooming habits. Give them a microscope and and they'll examine their own ****, give them a telescope and they'll go looking for tits."
