    I don't mind the dodecagonal plates in any lift that doesn't require me to pull off the ground. But since half of my lifts do, I hate them.

    The 24-Hour Fitness I go to has the decagonal plates. In fact all the gyms in my area do.

    I find you can still do deadlifts if you use the squat rack and set the bar at the bottom rung.

    Like in this picture if the safety bars weren't there:

    That's a pretty cool rack. The gym in the pic I posted has a dozen unused squat racks so I used them to deadlift. I had to step back and rep then step forward and rack though. I much prefer starting from a standing position when hitting for reps.

    Doesn't work, you still end up in snap city if you try deadlifting.
    I have to drop my deadlift by 100lbs when I'm at a gym with those. If I end up going home in the summer, I'm buying round 45's and bringing them with me to the gym on deadlift day

    my gym has a dl platform w/ adjustable bar, I just set it low so the plates aren't touching the ground, works fine.

    Count yourself lucky, my gyms plates are like 2/3rds the size of a regular one. Mean i have to deadlift with the bar literally 2 inchs off the floor. Poverty Uk gym of peace.

    Oh lawd I know that feel, I have ocd with lining up the barbell with the edge of the deadlifting platform so after every rep I have to move it back straight- that's fine for round plates where I can just roll it, brb lifting up one side of the barbell with hex plates to make it even.

    I know this feel. Setting up deadlifts are a pain with these plates, have to spin the wheels so each one is lined up right.
