Made a double feature of Student Bodies and V/H/S last night, first time viewing of both. Student Bodies was really cheesy, but done in an intentional way spoofing slasher films at their peak in the early 80's. I can see where Scary Movie and all these other crappy horror spoofs spawned from. Worth the watch, but probably won't need to ever see it again. Strong lack of nudity and gore, which doesn't fly for me in an 80's "horror" film.
V/H/S kept me entertained with it's nudity and handful of gore moments, but the shaky cam had me feeling like I was drunk the whole time. I don't recall a single scary or creepy moment, but maybe I'm just desensitized. I feel better having seen it now, but I'm never going to be a huge fan of found footage films. Ok to watch late night if you have nothing else, but I wouldn't go around recommending it to anyone.Lurking in the Shadows

Stopped by the RedBox and picked up Smiley just because it had an interesting cover. I fell asleep a few times through it. Could have been better probably if it was edited down to the length of a Masters Of Horror episode among other things. The idea "concept" was interesting.
I still have House At The End Of The Street and Silent Hill Revelation to go.

Saw a preview for The Conjuring on Friday. Looks pretty creepy, but it's probably just another one of those paranormal activity/sinister movies.
At first I actually thought it was the WWE leprechaun remake. Reminded me a lot of the opening scene with Daniel O'GradyYankees - Vikings - Sixers

watched both Grave Encounters today. I enjoyed them. I hate the regular reality tv ghost series but these were entertaining. Sinister blew in comparison.

I think come out and play is a remake of some sick movie I saw a long time ago... about kids in south america or somewhere kinda poverty killing the adults... and an adult couple start killing them in self defense... sounds like children of the corn but actually quite different... I can't recall the name of the movie but the synopsis of come out and play has to be a remake of it.
of course the original stepfather was better... it was rated R... why waste time with a pg-13 remake? Why remake an R rated movie and make it pg-13 at all? the best part of technology is they can take from R movies then and make them ever gorier/graphic
I watched Strippers vs Werewolves last night. I really enjoyed strippers vs zombies and thought because Englund was in this one too that it would be... not a sequel or spinoff... but at least like... as awesome...
Strippers vs Werewolves.... FUKKIN SUCKS. Worst movie I've seen except for "last house on hell street"you should read this
