If you've never heard of it then I also highly recommend All Hallow's Eve made by the same guy and featuring the same clown killer (it's an anthology and FAR better than its IMDB rating).

I saw All Hallow's Eve... I think there is a sequel as well (subpar) - just realized different director, makes sense. I missed the clown.
I thought the clown looked familiar.

New Elm Street movie? Nice. IMO they did a pretty decent job on the remake of the original. I saw the new Clover Field movie. While it wasn't scary, I still enjoyed the concepts it brought up, which are truly terrifying if you deeply think about them or what you'd do if you were caught in that situation. It's definitely worth 1 watch.

I haven't seen anything in awhile, I am currently watching "Caught". Seems like an indie movie but the acting is quite solid so far.

It's been a while since I've watched a horror movie so bad that I had to skip parts. I watched the "Children of the Corn: Runaway". Just absolutely horrible, would not even recommend watching the trailer if it has one.

Long time no post... just stopped by to say that A Quiet Place was excellent. I've been enjoying Moviepass lately.

A Quiet Place- Must see. It's all about the atmosphere in this one. There might be 5 total minutes of verbal dialogue in this movie. Trailers don't give away anything

Ravenous (Netflix)- Excellent zombie film. Slow burn a la 28 Days/Weeks later. Each encounter was intense and felt dangerous.

Strangers: Prey at Night- was good for what it is. Felt somewhat predictable at points. Felt like there was a lot less suspense than the first one. Like I said, fun for what it is. The first one is one of my all-time favorites. Think going from The Purge to The Purge: Election Year

Unsane- Loved it. Good stalker movie that deals with actual mental health issues.

Wonder if there's any other Phantasm fans here. By far my favorite Horror series. A shame the fifth one wasn't so great. It's still unique among other Horror series. My favorite is by far the second although all of them minus 5 are enjoyable. Even with the passing of Angus Scrimm, part of me still wants a sixth movie just to end it better.

For any other fans, how would you rank the series? For me they'd go: 2 1 4 3 and 5. 2 is definitely my favorite but the others are all good. Of course again, except for 5.

Yes. I watched it as well. The storyline and ending was VERY generic and predictable, however the way it was executed was excellent. I give it a solid 7/10 and it would have been higher if there was more substance behind the plot. Great acting as well considering the limitation on dialogue.

Saw it, and it's a good movie. Also saw the trailers for 'bad semaritan' and 'unsane' and those both looked sick asswel. Also saw the trailer for truth or dare with lucy hale but that didn't impress me.

Looks interesting. I love horrors that have everyone isolated in harsh and remote areas. However one thing that annoyed me in the trailer was that it REALLY looked like a set, at one point the ice just looked like foam. I will still check it out.

It's based on a real incident (Franklin Expedition). So far the details have been pretty spot on with historical accuracy.
