80s movie called brain damage. loved it, it's very goofy and weird but unsettling at the same time. basically this ****-talking alien parasite takes over a guy's body and uses him as a host to kill other people. basically works as commentary for drug addiction. really good and imaginative practical effects and really carried by the voice acting for the alien parasite. hilarious but weirdly commanding performance at the same time.

Descent is on my shortlist any good paranormal gems I might not have seen? I like the really dark serious type of films.
No man has the right to be an amateur in the matter of physical training. It is a shame for a man to grow old without seeing the beauty and strength of which his body is capable.

Been a while since a movie made me sort of adjust my seat.
"Orphan" 6/10
I am going to be honest I guessed roughly what the ending/twist would be very early on, I'd say I was 90% sure. However the one scene at the end I was going: "Oh no, are they really going to do it this way?" made me cringe a bit but it didn't go too far.
"Don't Breathe" "The Devil's Backbone" "The Ritual" "Wrong Turn" "The House of 1000 Corpses" more in my list that' I've watch sort of recently. They are all worth one watch but "The Ritual" was a rewatch, it's a solid "Found footage" movie.EoR is powered by unique Nanomolecular Hyperdispersion Technology. Finished To The Lake. Criminally underrated. I may have figured out why. A lot of reviews complain about women being portrayed as helpless. Imagine that, women being weaker than men, especially in a post apocalyptic situation... To be honest, the show has a strong woman, but she's flawed af, you know, like a real person, not some Hollywood feminist fantasy.
So if you like post apocalyptic stuff, zombies (it's not a zombie show, though) etc. like The Walking Dead (i think this one is one of the most OVERrated things on tv), The Road, Fallout (yeah, the game), 28 Days Later, Contagion, The Stand (the book), Children of Men etc., definitely watch this. IMO it's way better than 90% of the stuff Hollywood made on the subject.
Still a 9/10, show of the year for me.

I haven't watched a decent comedy horror since "Blood Sucking Bastards" but I randomly stumbled on one that I haven't seen.
"Harpoon" (2019) 7/10
I was a bit doubtful at the start but it definitely kicks in with some dark humor down the road. It's not a full comedy, but it likes to have long tension then a quick release strategy. There's some pretty visually gruesome scenes in it as well but also sparks a bit of thought what you would do in a similar situation. There are a couple clever twists as well plus some decent acting.
Definitely worth one watch, I'll probably end up watching it again in a years time or so.EoR is powered by unique Nanomolecular Hyperdispersion Technology. Giving him high bioavailability and myocellular saturation.

A few off the top of my head: Creep 1&2, REC (the best), As above so below, Unfriended 1&2 (computers screen FF subgenre), Hell House, Savageland, The Bay, VHS 1&2, Trollhunter, Man Bites Dog (somewhat shocking, but very good), Gonjiam, Behind the Mask, Grave Encounters, The Sacrament (aka Midsommar lite), The tunnel, Final Prayer, The fourth Kind, Evidence (2013, underrated).
Tons more out there. Under 6 on imdb they're usually hit or miss, but anything over 6 is worth watching. Like almost all horror actually. I like the genre a lot and have seen a lot of them, but still have a huge backlog.

don't think it's anything amazing but antrum is worth checking out as a unique spin on found footage. not presented as the characters filming themselves but rather that the movie itself is cursed and it was dug up 20 years later to be presented to audiences. the set-up is a little corny at the start but the movie itself is well done IMO.

Of that list I've seen:
REC - fantastic
Creep - also great
As Above, so Below - one of the best IMO
Hell House - very good
VHS 1, 2 and Viral - 1 and 2 were awesome, Viral was horrible.
Grave Encounters - loved
Fourth Kind - loved
I'll look into the other ones.
I just watched FF movie Willow Creek - I found this on quite a few lists of recommended FF movies. It was a 5/10 for me. A whole lot of nothing for awhile....went from 0 to 100, then over really fast.6'1 - 240lbs

Just watched Dark Mountain on Prime. Not bad. 5/10 I'll give it.
I get that these FF movies are supposed to be taken exactly how they are, "found footage", and all aspects of the story won't be explained, but I feel this one plus some of the others I've watched have been way too vague.6'1 - 240lbs

All these found footage comments...I was browsing horror in Crackle and found one called Hallow. Checked it out last night and enjoyed it. The film did not receive good reviews, as many of the found footage genre. The idea of the film was pretty original, filming location creepy, no fake creatures. The only aspect that I slightly disagreed with was the amount of time spent on the personal relationship issues among the group... Still recommended
Winchester - absolutely hated. I read about the house when I was a kid and was always intrigued by the story. I was looking forward to the movie but it turned into a completely unbelievable, shake my head, mainstream special effect horror. Ghosts coming alive, large objects moving, so many cheap jump scares I lost count. This film completely ruined the potential creepy true story of house, I almost couldn't make it all the way through.

I recommend some good Japanese and Korean horror movies. They do some really clever and interesting stuff.
I enjoyed movies like The Mimic" and "The Wailing".*Simplicity is the key to life*
