What's yalls thoughts on Brahm Stoker's Dracula (1992 by Coppola)? My english professor who's big into horror movies said it was pretty good.
Although he also said Cabin in the Woods was a great film, I wouldn't say great though.***Knee Draggers Unite***

Its worth a watch. Cinematography and Costume design add a nice atmosphere. You could always impress your professor by watching Dracula: The Vampire & the Voivode a documentary about the subject.
I liked 1994 Mary Shelleys Frankenstein better.

Holy crap - if you can deal with subtitles... "Hidden in the wooods" - most brutal movie I've seen in a long time. Not horror in supernatural sense... just a straight fukked up movie.
Finished "Curse of Chucky" - was meh - good to see Alex at the end tho (after the credits)
Invisible Maniac - An AMAZING mix of 80's teen comedy and 80's cheese slasher - highly recommend... amazing nudity too
Coppola's Dracula wasn't bad... a bit boring for my taste... hard to take Keanu Reeves and Anthony Hopkins on the same screen together seriously... but whatever - worth a watch.you should read this

Dracula was a good watch. Gary oldman is the fukcing man as is Hopkins
Ryder sucks and Keanu is meh, not terrible in Dracula but let's face it, he'll never be as awesome as he was in Bill & Ted

I agree with your professor in that Cabin in the Woods is a great film. It takes the genre and flips it around by not only making it a bit scary on occasion but partnering it up with humour at the same time. It doesn't take itself too seriously.
The elevator scene at the end was one of the most epic moments I can recall over the last 10 years (at least).

you want a good genre fliparound with humor throughout? Tucker and Dale vs Evil... or Evil Dead 2 itself - Cabin in the woods didn't need to parody it, it already mixed up the humor and horror... fukk cabin in the woods. go eat dogshtyou should read this
