    Pullups using texas method

Hey, I treat pullups as a strength exercise just like I do to bench, squats, etc...
And being good in pullups is one of my main goals.
I heard good things about texas method in increasing lifts.

I was wondering if it's a good idea to try to do pullups texas method style. Where on moday for example I do weighted pullups for 5X5, and on Friday I do heavy, 2-1 low rep maximal sets.

    I like to train pullups as I would a big 3 (dead/squat/bench)

Its a large compound exercise, so I reckon with good form its safe enough.

Well I always use good form. The question is if it's effective. Do you think it'll be effective?
