In b4 & after BH.
See, it's pretty much unanimimiminous. You don't disrespect a man in his own house... especially in front of his family!
Sounds like this was a long time coming anyway.

LOL'ing at all the questions about pee'ing outdoors. My husband and son both will pass a bathroom to go outside and pee. If we have guest over and we are hanging outside... all the men pee outside. No men ever go in the house to use the restroom. Unless # 2
Southern thing I guess?
And so-tex... you handled it just right! At least you let him go outside instead of doing it in front of everyone.**DIRTYSOUTHCREW**

I try not to let the mrs catch me, especially off the deck. So mainly at night or very early in the mornings as I gaze over the back 40. Saves countless flushes, wear and tear on the toilet, etc. And its good for the soil. It does keep the rabbits away too, srs.
But to have a guest whiz in my back yard while visiting?? Maybe at dark following heavy brew consumption, and I'd ask permission too.

Act like a douche in someone elses home and you deserved to get punched. I wouldn't sweat this deal one damn bit.
My sister in-law has been living with us since last june, has not paid 1 dime towards any bills and yet she got pissed when I came into the livingroom with my wife, put a dvd in and turned off the repeat of an ancient Law & Order that she wan't even watching...had her nose buried in her computer. It's my fukkin house, my tv and I pay the bills so Il will watch any damn thing I want anytime I want. She got mad and went to her room, and as Flex would say "not a single fuk was given"."You know that little thing in your head that keeps you from saying things you shouldn't? Yeah, well, I don't have one of those."

This is something I struggle with. My wife comes from a much different background than me. For me, physical violence is no big deal. I think there are a lot of people in this world that would be better off with a good ol country a$$ whippin. I think there are a lot of people that would act MUCH differently knowing that steppin out of pocket is going to result in that whippin. My wife on the other hand, can't understand why it has to come to blows.
I would knock any of my brothers out without thinking twice about it. She however, would lose her sheet over itMFC

Well, the sherriff's dept. didn't come knocking on my door today, so I guess my bil didn't press any charges. Thanks for the'pep' talk everybody, but deep down I still feel a little ashamed at what happened, being my wife's brother and all. Had it been a stranger not single phuck would have been given.

As others have said, while I think you probably ought not to have decked him, he damn well deserved it. Funny thing is, when I was initially reading the post, I thought "you should have decked him" - and then you did!
Totally. Ever since my years living in a tent. It gives nitrogen to the grass - I just make sure to spread it around so the green patches are more ore less contiguous.
FRONT porch? You must live in a quiet neighborhood. Back porch is preferred in Polite Society
Umm, I thought the NYC subway had really been cleaned up. It must really have been vile in the past.
I think I would have been more shocked by a stranger than by family. A phuck might have been given, but not a punch.Peace: Lift Long and Prosper!

The main terminals like Grand Central Station and Madison Square Garden have been. But most of the terminals in the Bronx, Brooklyn, Queens and lower Manhattan still are a mess. Smelly and scary when entering the subways. The thing with NY is they will always try and make it look like they are improving, but they only improve the areas where the high tourist traffic is.

Wow. Was not expecting to read what I did when I opened this thread. Granted, your bil was a complete ass for disrespecting you in your house, but decking him may have been extreme. What you should have done is open hand b1tch slap him in front of everybody, but I digress.
I do think some sort of reaching out to kind of smooth things over---a goodwill gesture of sorts to prove you're the better man----a gift basket of Midol, Pamprin, and an ice pack of sorts would do the trick.
Would love to have been a fly on the wall at your house. And kudos to your wife for knowing you so well.FSU "Go Noles!"

I had gotten into a little scuffle at a party some years back. A few family members, friends and people who I work with were witnesses. They did treat me a little differently after that and word got around at work. The rep could have gone the other way though if I was the kickassee...
