Just hit this brahs. Currently 19 years old, ~295 lbs 6'3. I found out after that one of the plates is ~48 lbs which somewhat explains why it's so uneven lol.

I think he was referring to your wide elbows since the whole point of close grip bench is to activate your triceps more, which is only achieved by keeping your elbows close to your body.
