The best part of this is that I did it playing tennis Saturday.
I chased a long ball into the back court. Swung forehand and returned the ball knowing I was gonna hit the fence. What I didn't know was that my racquet would hit the post and then my nose would land square on the racquet frame.
Bleeding and bruised with a crooked nose I finished the match only to end up losing 2 straight sets.
My nose is still swollen but actually straighter now as I broke It playing hockey years ago and never had it reset.
Broken...
Fixed...

I've broken my nose twice. Hurts like hell for a bit, but heals up quickly (or at least mine did). Glad it was just a little bump and nothing major.

It looks good for a broken nose, you must have got lucky!
Never broken mine and that was in spite of being punched in the nose (Thai boxing sparring) and kicked in the nose by a horse. (It wasn't as bad as it sounds - I used to ride as a teen and the horse I was riding decided it didn't want to jump the fence I was aiming it at and dumped me in front of it. He took a step back and caught me square on the hooter with his knee. I was pretty dazed but I got back on and finished the course. Pride and all that...)Current log: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=149169243

I was driving down a curvy mountain road, lost control and went head on into a tree(that kept me from going off a cliff). The seat belt half caught me and the steering wheel stopped my face the rest of the way. Multiple face fractures and my nose broken into little bits spread out around my across my face. Two surgeries later I have a much better nose than my first. We found tampons worked the best for drainage but my girlfried(now wife) made me cut the strings.

Just why is it that you always injure yourself doing the stupidist things? Not that tennis is stupid, mind you. I tripped and fell about a year ago, doing that stupid little dance...one leg in the blue jeans, jump around trying to get the other leg in. I hit the bridge of my nose and just above my right eyebrow on a 45 pound DB lying on the floor against the bedroom wall! I bled like a stuck pig! Didn't break anything, but I looked a mess for several days.
I sit on the edge of the bed now when I put my blue jeans on! LMAOpaolo59

OUCH - glad you're more or less ok! Brings back memories when I was about 15 and got hit square in the nose with a tennis racket. I eventually had a nose job about 5 years ago and took out the ski slope hump. The worst part was when the packing decided to hang down my throat and almost strangle me (while I was on painkillers and not in my right mind).
