Definetly starting to know why they call the disney dopey challenge. Omg doing a 5k and 10k isn't bad but then a half and a full marathon on day four. Ugh..... And days of walking around Disney world. Just got the full marathon left now and feel Ok as of right now. Last three days I've clocked in almost 80k steps each day. And its hard to eat right without a stove for cooking to. Damn brutal almost feel like every part of my body is KT taped lol

Lmao we are all trying to kill ourselves, especially the ones that run outside on the streets. Worse if you live in a big city or in california the drivers are horrible where BTW.

But just a quick update, finished the dopey challenge yesterday had to slow my roll by quite a bit, average pace per runkeeper was just abit over 10 min miles. That's even with stopping to get pictures with characters. I was just hoping to finish tbh, its odd to say but that half the day before really took a toll on the body.

The goofy one is probably my favorite out of all of them since its the 10 year anniversary medal and its a spinner. I would say each one is like 4 to 5 inches across fairly good size Bling.

Missed what that challenge was? Was it 5k, 10k, half marathon, full marathon on consecutive days? Congrats on completing it!

Ive been running so little recently, too much work to do for exams, planning on a proper run on Thursday once I've got a week before the next exam

Got a quick question on shoes that maybe someone else shares the same problem I have. I've noticed that on ALL my running shoes I get a hole where my pinky toe is, sometimes on the big toe as well. Anybody know what causes this? Small toe box in need of a 2E or 4E width ? Or maybe im running wrong ?

Runner checking in. Currently maintaining on the treadmill which I'm not a big fan of, but will continue until it warms up from the single digits and low teens.

Sorry if this sounds melodramatic. But sometimes when I run, I start feeling very lost. And I begin questioning the reasons behind my running habit. What's the purpose behind it? Am I doomed to just run further and further?
Does anyone else experience the same thing? How did you deal with it? What is the reason behind this sudden onset of depression and anxiety?

In for answers, I find I get this a bit, usually when running the same route in the city. Try running new routes? I never get it back home running through nice parks etc. But interested if anyone has any other answers, the closest nice park to where I live now is around 5 miles!

Also shoes, does anyone have any recommendations for minimal shoes, not much heel-toe drop and not much, but a small amount of padding? Currently wear inov8 road x-treme which are about the padding I want, but the heel slips slightly and I need another pair for rotation. The cheaper the better, whenever I go into running shops they all seem to cost £80-100 which just seems ridiculous for a minimal shoe!

could just be the shoe material itself since most running shoes are made to be light... or it could mean you need to clip your pinky toe-nail

i get that feeling in the beginning of the run and some times before running later in the day - do you run solo? do you have others that you train with? perhaps there's a correlation because i'm really the only person that's "fit" within my circle of friends...

That's all well and good until you break your femur three times.

Sometimes when you think you're hurt and should stop, you're hurt and should f*cking stop.

Take a few days off. No one made a law saying you have to run. Many fit people don't run. Do something else and regroup.

Completely agree, I think one of the most important things a lifter/runner can do is develop that sixth sense of knowing when something is 'bad' pain and 'good' pain. Got the stress fractures to prove it

By the way, getting into running lately and my left foot arch is a lot weaker compared with my right, can feel it start to collapse mid-run causing me to stop running cos of pain due to messed up form. Anyone can advise on how to strengthen foot strength?

Do you get blisters or find your feet shift a bit at the start of the run?
The side of my shoes' uppers are usually the first to go, and I think that's the norm for most.. maybe the others can chime in

lol thanks for the laugh bro, inspired me to load up a podcast this morning and just chill out with dj and his sidekick's antics. had one of the best runs for the week, felt refreshed!

I’m curious about your experience of time. Do you feel like life is moving really quickly? Is your music one way to sort of turn it over and reflect on it?

WILLOW: I mean, time for me, I can make it go slow or fast, however I please, and that’s how I know it doesn’t exist.

JADEN: It’s proven that how time moves for you depends on where you are in the universe. It’s relative to beings and other places. But on the level of being here on earth, if you are aware in a moment, one second can last a year. And if you are unaware, your whole childhood, your whole life can pass by in six seconds. But it’s also such a thing that you can get lost in.

    WILLOW: Because living.
You can't get much done in life if you only work on the days when you feel good.

For me it's not when I am running but before I go. That's why I have so much more success going early in the day. If I plan a run in the afternoon 9 times out of 10, I'll talk myself out of it.
Sometimes I feel like I have to just maintain weight. I get exactly where you are coming from.

Haven't run in months since my GF and I adopted a puppy. Today we finally decided to go running since I got her a pair of Nike Pegasus for X-mas. We decided to bring along the dog ( now 6 months old), we made her run in the grass the whole time so she wouldn't hurt her little puppy joints. We didn't to too fast or do anything too crazy but it was one of the most fun runs I've ever had. We're definitely going to be doing it again soon. A pic of my pup for your time, she's a 6 month old Husky mix named Tesla.

Sup brahs. Been sick for the last week so haven't trained at all. Anyone else feel really lazy when they are sick? Just feel restless but I guess its probably better if I don't train until I am well again.

If I'm not feeling well might not train super hard by any means I'll cut my distance in half (and speed in half) or just walk the dogs or something along those lines. unless i'm hurling or I'll just take it easy basically or i'll go stir crazy in the house getting bad cabin fever.
