It definitely does. It's hard to explain how they feel, except Fuuuuuuuuk
Word!
Um me! I think that every time I do them!
All in the name of lifting heavier things
Mmmhmmmm
Yeah, that's a big point. There's no time where you're not driving, maybe that's why they're so damn hard!
I think you'd like them
Thanks Boom. Yeah, it's really nice to be back on a structured program that I can actually follow.___________________________________________________________

Notes
-Learned very quickly that doing a snatch marathon is a bad idea after a squat and dead marathon, even if the weight is light.
-Pissed off in the middle of squats, I'll show you why in story time.
-Still dunno what kind of Oly shoes I have, but y'all can see 'em. They make my feet hurt. Not in the tight-new-shoes way, but because I'm not used to standing like that! It certainly made squats easier though
Video Snatch 65 x3... so very unpleased with these. I had no energy today, and my fuking arms still bend early. How can I keep from doing this? Focusing mentally isn't working, so I need some ideas...
Also, as you can see here, the weight is so far in front of me I either can't get down under the bar, or when I come up it brings me forward.
Story Time
So, there's a dude doing box jumps on the squat platform next to me. Fine. Apparently the box wasn't high enough. He then takes ALL the 55lb Oly plates and stacks them to make his box higher. What in the actual fuk? So then I go to dead lift and he's still using them. As I go collect the silly 10lb metal plates and give him the death glare the whole time. He knew I was annoyed. Then, as I was doing deficit deads he decides it's a good time to re-rack the plates. Mid fuking rep he does this, I hit him in the leg, and didn't even flinch. He deserved it for having such poor etiquette. Why does this bullsh!t only happen to me when Wyo isn't in the gym?

Omfg shoes <3
Glad they're working. Your knees are very obviously able to push forward a lot further, but safely, allowing you to hop under and even forward under the bar.Gym lifts: 260/130/285

Bubs- after you grip the bar and get ready to settle into your final position, roll your shoulders forward a bit which will lock your elbows. Result should be no bending of arms.
And of course the dumb Sh!t isn't going to happen with Wyo around. People mind their Ps and Qs when the Alphas show up...even if they are tender hearted bears!Journal- One of the Ogres

Yeah, about that hopping under the bar...
Ha, no! I can barely do a snatch! I'm just learning for the sake of learning something new and difficult. Glutton for punishment
Roll shoulders forward... sounds so.... wrong! Okay, it's NOT a deadlift. I need to stop setting up like a damn deadlift. Shoulders OVER the bar, not in line with the bar. Booty a lil higher too.
Oh, and I'ma tell Wyo you said that___________________________________________________________

Yay! Great progress, bubz. I agree with BSG about them shoulders. Remember what I told you before? The first pull in the clean and snatch is not, I say again, over, NOT, the same as the deadlift.
Next gold nuggets / Scooby snacks:
a) Stay over the bar longer.
b) Bring knees back during the first pull. You are moving the bar around your knees, which is why you are jumping forward, because the bar is getting away from you as a result of bar going around knees, so you compensate by jumping forward to catch. If you bring knees back, you will be able to pull straight. And if you pull straight, you will be able to keep bar closer. I went into detail in Boomz’ journal about this.
c) Remember the following: Close, Fast, Low.
PS – You like to go against the status quo, doncha? You’re a rebel. It’s weird that you do the snatch towards the end of you session. But whatever cranks your tractor. Keep it up!This above all..

Fresh Cut Grass
I acquired a lawn mower and cut the grass all before 11am today! Feeling quite productive. It's so gratifying having a lawn that doesn't look the worst on the block!
And now I get to eat breakfast. I love weekend breakfast, it's like 2 meals in one! 3 eggs, protein bagel, and strawberries. So tasty!
