Yeah, fuked that one up by stepping outside the box, but that one was my best throw. It ended up going about 27ft which is middle of the road. I'm hoping if I ever actually compete in one of these things the atmosphere of competition will help me throw just a little harder! I think it will since I'm competitive by nature and usually perform well under pressure.

-Ugh, feeling weak as all get out... 2 nights of crap sleep :/
-Started my first set of bench way too high. Last weeks started with 60, dunno why I thought starting at 70 would go over well.
-Gonna throw this afternoon too, yay! Did way better last week with my foot work, here's a short video. Don't laugh!
Vids- Weight for distance. Harder than it looks if your a clumsy elf like myself. I fall nearly every time I do these. I'm super uncontrolled, but this is WORLDs better than last week. Also, I look like a heifer.

Actually, if I compete I sign up to do all the events. You don't get to pick and choose. We have a 2x4 I've been practicing with to mimic caber, and although I haven't flipped it yet, I'm actually pretty decent at it. Haven't tried sheaf because Wyo doesn't trust me with a pitch fork. Notes
-Box squats could have been heavier, but I was pressed for time
-Deads felt heavier than they should have
-Snatch: My arms are still bending too early, and the bar is too far in front of me, but it's coming along. 85lbs didn't feel particularly heavy, it's just a matter of if I really get that pop right or not.

Great snatchin’ !
You’ve come a long way, grasshoppah!
Set up:
a) Cock wrists inward a bit more so that fists are facing down floor.
b) Pull the slack before initiation of first pull. There should be no audible click when you lift off. Slacks will throw off your first pull with heavier weights. Develop
1st Pull:
a) Slow it down a bit. You are rushing. Deliberately control the first pull. You anticipate second pull right away.
2nd Pull:
a) Pretty good. It was aggressive for sure.
b) But you have premature arm bend. Keep arms straight and loose (like rope). Trust your hips to accelerate bar. Arm bend does not occur until after full extension. Where the elbows bend, the power ends.
3rd pull:
a) Great work! It was nice and aggressive and confident!

Awesome job on the snatch, bubsy! I would probably die doing 180 on box squats. Legs are thick but they do nottt appreciate any kind of paused rep.

Could't agree more. The wrists thing, I need to figure this out because I can feel it in them today, a bit sore. Definitely rushing the first pull, I agree there too. Premature arm bend I'm trying to focus on the most, I can feel it, just like I can feel that the weight is too far in front of my body causing me to lean forward too much. When I fail the lift it's because the bar is too far in front of me and I can't get under it. But in this 85lb pull I think I did a decent job of up instead of out.
