Has anyone tried meditating before/after sleep to shorten the amount of sleep they need? I have read a few interesting studies showing that meditation reduces the need for sleep.
I already meditate 20 mins in the mornings but will try meditating 5-10 mins right before bed each night to see if that gives me more restful sleep and if it makes it easier to wake up.

Yep, meditation is a thing I've been doing off an on for years now, 20 mins isn't hard after that long.
Do get six hours sleep pretty much every day? I always wondered if the amount of sleep we "need" is more of a habit like the time you wake up at or an actual thing where you definitely NEED a certain amount.

Up at 4:45 on lifting days, up at 5:15 on cardio days, I "sleep in" until 7:00 on the weekends and I'm in bed by 10 every night.No negative energy, I will mute ya

I'd be interested in hearing how long everyone actually sleeps at night.
Anyone here do any kind of polyphasic sleeping? Wake up early with a nap in the afternoon? Anyone perfectly OKAY on less than 5 hours of sleep a day?(By okay I mean 5 hours is all you need and you don't need caffeine or stimulants to keep you alert during the day and don't feel tired all day).11B, NASM CPT, CFL1

Ill be in on this. I am self employed so I dont have a set time I need to get up, but the earlier the better.
I'll probably try working my way down. I get up around 7:30, so Ill try waking up at 7 for a couple weeks and eventually get down to 6. Good luck and good day, gentsYou hate it, but you know respect you got to give me.
