lol Sartre is chit. Heidegger is God-tier. Kierkegaard is cool too if you're smart enough to apply his outdated spirituality to the modern world.

you are on the most boring shiit (for me) but in my opinion, philosophy is all about context. you cant know about the realists without aristotle and you need to look at the post modernists in the wake of the realists

Yeah kinda agree, the only one i kinda like is Descartes, but I need to read it if I want to pass the exam. I prefer the Greek philosophy with true wondering about the nature of things and trying to explain it using just mind operations. Very fascinating.

I can't relate as much to abstract things, need to really focus to grasp those context. What I really like is really smart criticism of humanity and society in a rude, humorous and offensive way. I really like curse words, I feel like we're at our most honest when we get to the point where we say, JESUS ****ING CHRIST ARE YOU ****ING STUPID? Hard to be more sincere than that.

Yes, if you ask Machiavelli, if you ask me, its very important what is the end and what are the means, I can't put it as a rule that would always suffice and justify one's actions. Each situation where such things must are optional, everything should be considered. Sometimes yes, sometimes it's not.

We are currently learning about greek philosophers in one of the courses, but just the basic facts and some of their theories, we haven't dug deeper and focus on either of them yet. Thanks for the link.

schopenhauer is pretty cool, too. the neat thing about a lot of the german philosophers around that time is that they pretty much revived ancient eastern texts and when you look at some of the vedas they were interested in, it makes some of their philosophy clearer.

Sorry, I didn't see it. No, I don't think so. I don't think there's anything wrong with being homosexual, feeling affection and love for another human being is normal, no matter the sex, having butt sex is just taking it a step further, just a way to pleasure our bodies, the love between two human beings is what counts in my opinions. Homosexuality has been around since many thousands of years ago, and it was completely normal. The problem with our today's view of homosexuality is that the church has made it this way. Church has banned and marked any kinds of open sexuality as a sin, and with its powerful influence in the dark ages they could force any belief they wanted and that could benefit them.
