They probably work the hardest though.
This mainly has to do with the fact that there parents would killl them if they recieve bad grades.

Asians as a whole are not smart. From my experience, it's actually the opposite. Their families simply has education as one of its core values. It's in the culture.
The majority of them are only good at memorizing & reproducing what they're taught, which is why they're generally good at math. Trust me. Most of them can't analyze situations in literature w/ any depth (and therefore fail @ essays, which test your analytic & intellectual abilities ) , but can get A's in math courses due to their ability to memorize and reproduce.
If I get negged for this, so be it. But it's generally true.

its a lot deeper than that kiddo for the reason why they work hard and succeed in life. Culture, society expectations, interfamily competition, "keeping up with the jones" but instead of buying cars and **** its about what school u got into, what degree you got, what honors you got etc.
analysis of literature, writing, and such aren't strong suits for most asians due to us mostly being 1st gen americans and having english as our second language.

I correlate it to be the same thing.
If you work hard, you are smart.
I always lol at people that say, "Yeah, I'd get an A if I tried." and then they don't try and then get a C instead.
Who cares if one is more "naturally" smarter than the other? One has proved it, the other has not. The proven one will always get the advantage.

Well, Asian families are becoming more westernized so the whole idea of being the top and/best doesn't sound as appealing because immigration and opportunities are more abundant than they were in the past. The family can now depend on themselves as opposed to a bloodline family member for their successes.
Times change, expectations change.
Sauce: Asian family, my dudes.

A lot that are pressured into doing well aren't really self-driven and end up as awkward beta personalities with no street smarts or creativity. The parrot type who just memorize and repeat intelligent information.
This goes for people of all walks of life, but yes, I've seen it often with Asians.
