Brunner dun goofed, he shouldve come and played with the GOAT. being in Detroit...well he probably wont survive long with Suh driving around or the unemployed homeless willing to shank/murder/rob him for $3.50

To Dallas: Forsberg, Johansson, Ward, Galiev, 1st 2015
To Washington: Benn, Morrow (2 mil salary held back). I'm assuming if Niewendyk is exploring what he can get for Benn, this would catch his eye.
To Anaheim: Laich, Kuznetsov, Brouwer, Schultz, 2nd 2013, 2nd 2014, 1st 2014
To Washington: Ryan, Beauchemin, Winnik (salary held back to make it work, additional 3rd and later rounders as needed for salary held back). Anaheim gets solid utility winger in Laich,
star prospect in Kuznetsov, good PF in Brouwer, bunch of futures. If they resign Getzlaf and possibly Perry they'd be in a very good position.
To Colorado, Wilson, Neuvirth, Perreault, Erskine, 1st 2013
To Washington: O'Reilly, Giguere
Everyone will probably hate me on all sides but I tried to make sure there's at least some quality in all the quantity.
Caps nuke their prospects completely for the next 3 years but finally there are no holes on D and the offense may be most complete in the league in every aspect.

I wouldn't and it's not being about a homer or anti-PK, it's that D for us is a position of strength so we can afford to take the risk on Dougie living up to his potential or not. He can be better than PK or worse, luckily we are in a position to be able to take that chance and find out.

IMO PK is too rare of a player to give up.
He does everything an offensive dman should do, has the best release on the one timer next to OV and Weber, and plays with an edge that is rarely seen anymore. Im still trying to figure out were this Hamilton hype has generated from. He was only scouted to be a 2-3 type guy yet if you read HF you would swear hes the second coming of Niedermayer.Gay for Klokov crew

Ill let stamkos take the cake when some besides Martin dishes out the passes, hes one of the best set up guys in NHL right now.
ECN/Compan
Look into Cody Franson. Hes essentially a Hamilton clone, just played in the WHL growing up so he flew under the radar coming up to draft time.Gay for Klokov crew

The hype comes from his complete dominance in juniors. He also has size in his favor for when he fills out into his frame.
Cody Franson? You srs? Their junior careers aren't even comparable, only thing we have is size. Even then Franson outweighs him by about 20lbs being 6 years older.
Also Stamkos' release is just as good from people other than MSL feeding him the puck. That has already been shown.
Brewer and Foster are not exactly elite set-up men.Last edited by compan; 01-22-2013 at 10:55 AM.

I would say that plays a minor roll in it... are they better passes? yes.
but doesn't change the fact that Stamkos has one of the best one timers out there.
you can claim that Stamkos is as prolific a goal scorer as he is because or St. Louis but you can't claim Stamkos' shot to St. Louis.Packers-Celtics-RedSox-Leafs

Nono
WHL is proven to be a harder league than OHL to rack up points. In his last two seasons there Franson was being called the best dman in the WHL. You can compare on points but even then in his last season there if he played a 70 game OHL season he would have topped Hamilton with his PPG pace. Im sure you can find a draft profile but they both have a lot in common. Big frame but doesn't use it effectively, great skating, weak shot but extremely accurate, and amazing hockey IQ.
EDIT: There both 6'5" so I don't know what you're talking about there. My jimmies have reached their wits end, this kid is overrated as fawk. Hes played on a great team in the O to help inflate his numbers and was crap in every WJC tourny. We'll see if I eat my words but I would be shocked if he stays on the big team this year.Gay for Klokov crew

I wouldn't say these at all. Dougie used his big frame to overpower a lot of players in junior and played a pretty physical game. I also wouldn't say Franson has amazing hockey IQ either in relation to other NHL players. I can't speak enough for Dougie at this level yet, but his defensive play and offensive awareness have been stronger than I expected this season so far.

Here are the draft profiles for reference though.
Edit: Correct, they are the same height. I said they have comparable size only Franson outweighs him by about 20lbs being 6 years older...

I'm going to say no if we are taking cap hits/contracts into consideration. I like Subban a lot, and would love to have him on the Bruins, but I'm not sure if him at 5-6mi/year is a better deal than Dougie Hamilton on an ELC.
Although the sample size for Hamilton is extremely small right now, I've really liked what I've seen from him.

Giroux is a beast. His hand work/accuracy is on par with kanes and then he does every thing that toews does so well.
