I didn't do the ab wheel today to give my shoulders a rest. I have perpetual soreness in them these days (DOMS-like soreness, not injury-like soreness).
I'm feeling pretty good about my plan. I had gotten lazy about making my lunches and gotten in the habit of either skipping lunch, or getting a sandwich from the cafeteria downstairs. Both would cause me to be starved for dinner and I'd pig out. I'm going back to 5 meals per day to keep the hunger at bay. I'm OK with being a little hungry all the time, but when I'm starved I lose my self-control.
I also ordered a Bodymedia Fit that is coming today. Trying to figure out my calories is extremely hard as I have a very sedentary job (I rarely get up unless it's to go to the bathroom or the printer), but am pretty active at home. I'm a data geek, so I'm looking forward to having some metrics to analyze!https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

TKD
45 minute class
Sparring class tonight, so mucho calories burned. A bonus as it was the family class and we don't typically spar in it. Bummer is that I didn't get to spar either of my kids.
Did OK with the diet, too.
1646 calories
139 g carbs
54 g fat
131 g protein
Aiming for 1800 for now, so happy to come in under it and not be hungry the first day.
You're clearly crazy!
Thanks for reading! I've been really busy with work and not on much, either. They don't seem to understand that hanging on bb.com is more important!https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

Nice work Erin!
I decided that if I take pics on Friday like I planned to anyway that I will probably just join up on that contest. I am not planning on a hardcore cut since I don't want to lose strength, but the added motivation and accountability might be good. The Beast Journey to Elite

They aren't too bad. According to my Bodymedia Fit, I burned roughly 2300 calories yesterday, so it gave me a 600 calorie deficit. Honestly, I'd like a 1000 calorie deficit to get me to 2 lbs per week. Since yesterday was more or less a "rest" day, we'll see how things go today as far as calorie burn.

Cardio
30 minutes Nike+ on Kinect
This was more strength based, so I did much better than the other day.
Nutrition
2,072 calories
143 g carbs
89 g fat
155 g protein
Pizza night with the kids. Not gonna stress it - I only have them every other weekend and I'm still under maintenance calories. Have to cut it back the next time we do it, though.
Kind of.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794

TKD
45 minute class
VERY intense class. It was awesome!
Today was the first I wore the Bodymedia Fit to class. I have to confess, I'm not sure how it categorizes my activity. It seems to count my walking, etc. as "moderate activity". This TKD class was incredibly physical, yet I only registered 1 minute of vigorous activity. The rest it put under moderate activity. Which is the same as it clocks me for walking to the bathroom at work. I don't necessarily care, as long as it's not using that categorization to figure my calorie burn. Because if so, today will be underestimated. I need to look that up.https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=17995794
