Hi,
I am looking at investing in a home gym. I have to admit the uk is a hard place to find decent equipment. I've managed to pick up some weights and bars and am looking at getting this power rack. Is it worth it? I can't post a link but if you type Sporttech power cage into eBay it comes up its the black and red one
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

I agree, the Powertec is a good level 'entry' rack, I have one and for the money it's good.
It must seem like I'm a promoter for the site www.fitness-superstore.co.uk but I have used them a numerous amount of times and I've always been happy with their delivery times and customer service.
I've found them to be the cheapest for olympic weight, dumbells, benches etc.
They have their own line of products so they cut out the middle man so to speak.
Give them a go...

Here's a link to the SportTech Power Rack, if anyone want to see it.

Looks like a Bodycraft F430 with a thinner gauge steel, a second set of J-hooks by default, and the multigrip chinup bar.

The 200kg weight limit could potentially be reached very quickly. Could you wait for a second hand Powertec item? Failing that one of these... http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/...power-rack.php it's not much more money and it's got a much higher weight limit.
The unit will give you more confidence also as it will be more stable...

Depending on where you live, there are a couple of good deals on ebay power racks. There was a york commercial one that didn't sell for £400. You could try to msg the seller and negotiate lower price. I still got it in my watched items.

Decent bench is york diamond DB bench (around £120).
As for wieghts, you could get crappy bodypower 3grip plates or some slightly better bodypower cast iron plates. Or try searching gumtree around your area.Getting me some gains

I've just had a look at their items on ebay for you and they seem to be out of stock for a couple of weeks and they've listed the majority of their products at £999, when they're normally much much cheaper.
I've used a couple of their items, they seem to sell the same stock / re badged items as the max fitness, gymano, image pro 2 equipment.
I would personally have a look at the rack that I've mentioned above, I'll include the link for you again http://www.powerhouse-fitness.co.uk/...power-rack.php
But I understand that it might not be what you're looking for...
