That's interesting. I've had a few people ask "what's the lowest you take?" I always figured that if I put the lowest amount, then that's all that I'd get... or some one might see it as a challenge to try to get it lower! LOL! But my local CL isn't very active and you have to be patient to wait quite a while for the real buyers. They're much slower than the bargain hunters.

I'm selling a lot on craigslist lately - trying to clear out garage space for a power rack. I find that there's a lot of people on craigslist that will only buy stuff if it's a steal - like they are absolutely ripping you off. I'm selling homebrew kegs (5 gallons) that go for $55 used at the local store, been seeing them go for $60 on ebay. I priced mine at $50 and would accept $45. But I keep getting offers for $30 or less for them, some offers for <$40, and then some reasonable offers. Some people are just cheap, but there's a lot of people that will just take stuff and flip it - they aren't the end consumer.
If I'm buying something, I usually offer less than the guy is asking unless I find that the price is pretty fair. The items are never that close to me, so I'd like to get a few bucks off to compensate for time and gas.

I received three emails to deliver a $15 item. The distances range from 60 minutes round trip to 4 hours round trip. Are people really this dumb?
I bought some stuff yesterday and when I got there no one was home. The stuff was set out neatly on the porch and there was a note taped to it saying that he had to leave unexpectedly. If I wanted it, he would take half the asking price. I should deposit the money in the flower pot by the door. I'm not sure if he's the idiot or I'm the idiot. I paid the flower pot and took the stuff.[]---[] Ivanko Barbell Crew #32 []---[] ()---() York Barbell Club #43 ()---() ▉---▉ Equipment Crew #50 ▉---▉

I owe you reps for that, lol. I wish most of my CL transactions were that smooth, between people not showing up, getting calls on my way over saying the item has already been sold, and people not being at meeting sites, no personal interaction would be a blessing half of the time.

[Rant]
I currently have 2 craiglist douche nozzles working my area. One is a flipper and another one makes home made knives. They both have about 20 items up at a time and they both use the same stupid tactic... they create a separate listing for each and every item.
They suck and I hope they get a staph infected turd lodged in their rectum for months.
This is the type of mentality in life that creates homeowners associations, unreasonable rules/laws, gets us fees associated with normally free stuff, high property taxes, mass shootings, and genital warts.
It is not YOUR world and its sure as crap not YOUR Craigslist. Use your darn brain before posting and taking up an entire page of ads for your worthless crap.

38)When you have something posted at retail price OBO and berate me and claim to have blocked my email, for offering market price, instead of countering the offer or stating a "this is as low as I can go" price.
39)Getting no response back, but suddenly being flooded with spam...
And apparently mac mail has the worst spam filter ever
No, donkeyprincess69, I do not want to meet up wit u

don't know if 40 is the next one but,
40: If you come to buy something and see other stuff nearby that was not in the photos and looks nothing like what you were getting, and you are already getting an insanely hot deal, don't ask if its included. THATS SERIOUSLY IRKSOME.▪█───────█▪ Equipment Crew #46 ▪█───────█▪
