I just heard Samsung are going to launch the Galaxy S4 in a couple of weeks. This is getting ridiculous, unless they come up with some shocking surprise I don't see any reason to replace the S3, which is far from using it's max capability.

I just heard Samsung are going to launch the Galaxy S4 in a couple of weeks. This is getting ridiculous, unless they come up with some shocking surprise I don't see any reason to replace the S3, which is far from using it's max capability.

It's amazing how fast the "new replacement" comes out now for devices, it's like you haven't even become used
to the one you have and the new one is out to replace it.

Newbie - may want to read further. Pushing the release date in spite of issues does not bode well for the newest phone. A lack of anticipated features as well as problems with their octa- core Exynos 5 chipset are a disappointment for sure.
The decision that they'll use the Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 chipset means a quad core, which is respectable but not the eight core people were hoping for.
For reference, the US variant of the S3 is a dual core.

Over the past year Samsung has become a dominant force in smartphones but it look as though expectations for March 14th are now being downplayed. It could see the first reverse for Samsung since it began ascending the smartphone ranks. By backing off key innovations it will hand the initiative back to Apple, which has had its own problems in innovating the iPhone.

It's BS, they should focus on making software worthy of such hardware. Fuking Samsung released Android 4.1.2 to S3 only a couple of months ago, this is ridiculous.
