    The high frame rate killed it for me too. Some of the IMAX theaters are HFR and some are not. Sounds like you got one that supports it. It was more enjoyable in a normal frame rate theater.

    Happy New Year brahs.

    Wish I could say I'm pumped up to smash some PRs this year, but truth be told I'm in a training funk and feeling unmotivated. I've already decided not to compete this month as I had planned since my training has been sporadic the last few weeks. I'm looking to compete at the end of March and I feel like that might be the end for me. I've never felt like this about lifting before. I honestly feel like if I trained hard for the next 8 weeks I could add 100 lbs to my total. I have almost zero support at home and it makes it difficult to be serious about training.

    Srs though crossfit looks like it could be fun or do some strongman both would be a good change of pace.

    jut think about how much better you will be if you continue training.

    The IMAX was an HFR one. I'm interested to see how different it will look on my mediocre tv on blu-ray.

    That's not the problem. It's the guilt trip I get every time I go to train. So I either don't train at all or I only do main movement work and no assistance and rush through. I still want to powerlift.

    Yeah, that's tough. Can you shift around when you train? You can become a zombie like me and train at midnight and OD on caffeine all day.

    Right now I train after I put the kids to bed. If I'm down there for more than an hour I get attitude from the wife. I train 3 days a week (4 when I am highly motivated) and on Fridays I go to train with my crew. I'm usually gone from 5:15 until 9:30 on Friday nights. Wednesdays I squat and that should take 2.5 hours but I do it in an hour most nights. Mondays are speed bench and I can usually get done in an hour or less. I don't think I'm being unreasonable, but it sucks being made to feel guilty for doing something that is important to me.

    This is like a glimpse into my future. I don't even have kids yet and I get bitched at constantly about how much time I spend training or how she thinks I'm hurting myself because I do so much mobility work and rolling while she's sitting on her ass watching tv.

    That does blow man. My significant other gives me crap occasionally if my training sessions run long. I feel like that's BS. You could be out at a bar getting smashed, or playing golf, or something stupid. At least you have goals and you're being productive.

    As long as it doesn't cut into family time with the kids, there's no reason why you should feel guilty about wanting to train, its **** like this that adds years to your life, from health and happiness points of view...

    Co-dependency sucks and not healthy. It definitely helps my wife is in the fitness industry so she's supportive of my lifting but she's also into a bunch of crafts stuff and does craft shows periodically. So we each have our things.

    Yeah I was lifting. I actually changed my lifting schedule to accomodate her (used to go straight to gym after work, 4 days a week).

    I've seen many places sell them though they usually don't come right out and call them a reverse hyper. Usually reverse back extension or something like that. The A frame looks solid and there's a vid of the other with like 12 plates loaded up on it. I'm looking at getting the GHD, Swiss bar, cambered squat bar, and landmine handle set.

    Stories like your just add to the reason why I never plan on getting married.

    I'm lucky that my GF doesnt bitch about me going to the gym to train, but I get bitched at for wanting to do **** with my friends every once in a while instead of hang out with her because she is dependent on me to be her hobby. The worst part is as soon as I get all pissed off about her pitching a fit about me wanting to do **** with her friends, she backs down because she doesnt want me to be mad at her, which is even worse IMO.

    Being single is just so much easier.
