I just decided on my first meet ever. I'm gonna submit my application and money from now so I dont pu ssy out of it
30th Anniversary USAPL New Jersey State Open Powerlifting Championships
Now I just have to decide whether I'm going to do Open division or Junior division (or can you do both?)
I'll also have to decide on whether I'm going to be competing at 220/242, though i'll prob make this decision a little close to the meet date.
If my meet goes well, I'm going to try and do the 12th Annual USAPL American Open Powerlifting Championships in Pennsylvania.
Seems like such long way, off I really wish I could find a meet to do in like mid March or some time at the end of april or May...but there aren't too many meets I can get to from my area..
My extremely early goals are 1500 in August and 1550 in December...doubtful, but we shall see

225 for a set of 5 ain't that strong brah.
Doesn't really matter what division you choose, it won't affect your total. And you can even change it. So like go Junior and then when they release the list of competitors and you see you are all by yourself in Junior you can ask to be moved to Open so you can compete against people. Weight class you can always pick 220 and if you don't make weight, they'll bump you up to 242.1372 @ 205

02-13-2013, 05:09 PM #4867It'd be like staying fat while running marathons because it's more impressive to finish a marathon when you're overweight. It might be impressive in the short run, but in the long run it just doesn't make any sense. ~breathinglife

Being a male is a matter of birth. However, being a "man" is a matter of choice.
