I don't know if I've ever felt this tingling feeling. Is it the same thing as a chill? Like that chilling feeling starts at the back of your head and runs down your back? Because those only last a second or so. Also I do like certain sounds such as smooth stones softly scratching surfaces, hair being cut, certain things being scraped softly. Can only certain people feel this? Or do you have to develop it?

I used to get this heaps as a kid, usually when someone helped me with something, like my dad helping me put together a bow and arrow, or someone making me food, just watching it.
No matter what I do though, i can't experience it anymore. I've watched so many vids and tried so many triggers but I just dont feel it anymore

Last time I had a big episode was 5 years ago.. mom was making me food, tv was on low, and I was half asleep in recliner. Felt so good I didn't want to move and tried focusing on it so it wouldn't go away. Lasted like 5min. Pure euphoria.

I remember the first time I got this feeling. I was sitting on the floor in 4th grade watching a movie, when for some reason the kid behind me starting tracing whatever was on the back of my shirt with his finger.

I didn't move, or say anything. It was instant, out of this world euphoria. if that kid would have kept doing it, I probably would have had my first orgasm(no homo)

Some people do, many people don't. I've had it since I was little.

I get it the best in person when someone is doing a specific task for me, like wrapping a present, or checking me out at a register.

Also a lot of people get it at a doctor's office when they're doing physical examinations.

There are some great ASMRtists (thats what they're starting to call themselves) that provide all kinds of different triggers.

I don't know. It usually isn't triggered by physical touching or anything. The first time I noticed it was when I was little and my friend would slowly and deliberately deal cards out for a game we were playing. Close personal attention just triggers it.
