I won't just give it out anymore either. Years ago had a guy ask me for a couple bucks for food. I said "okay" and gave him like $3. He turns around with a smug look and folds it over a wad of money and walks straight into a liquor store. Rage ensued.
Here's what I do NOW: tell them you'll give them a couple singles IF they can beat you in some kind of exercise. I say if you can beat me to the stop light (a block away) or do more pushups than I can (75 at a time here) or something like that then I'd be happy to shell out a couple bucks. Lolz ensues.

lol, a couple days ago i was at the gas station and this young (somewhat cute) girl was going around cars at the pump asking people for even a dollar...bish had her frown face in full effect...something about how her car battery died or some sh*t, don't remember... I was like "Oh sorry I'm working and don't have money with me" she just did a oh well face.jpg, and continued asking other ppl I even said "good luck" to her as she walked away for the lols. Some elderly white knight ******* gave her like a buck, I noticed while going back to my car. That kunt probably made a few good bucks that day lol

I told him I used a debit card and he then asked me to buy him a sandwich. I told him No. no fuks given.

Had a lady ask for gas once.
I was in the GROCERY store parking lot, had just gotten to my car.
"Excuse me, do you have a minute?" she asked as I stand there with my car door half open.
Me: "What?"
Her: "My car is out of gas and my two kids blah blah......can you spare some money for gas?"
Me: "Ok, I'll drive you up to the station right there." *Points to station down the street* (She was a normal looking lady, not trashy or anything)
Her: Suddenly does not need gas anymore. Fuking kunt.
Told her to fuk off and drove away.US NAVY

Local Pop Warner football kids hit me up outside the grocery store, apparently they had made the Super Bowl in their age group (I used to play Pop Warner, this is actually a pretty big deal) - they were in their uniforms and even had the team picture. Usually I'd never give money to anyone but this is my soft spot. So I give the kid $5 and he says:
"That's ok, every little bit counts."
"I say to him 'Every little bit'? That's $5, that's a lot of money."
Went in kind of irked, but walked out and the kid said "Thanks again Sir". Took the edge off a bit. I just couldn't imagine hitting up a random dude for money, getting $5 and saying anything other than "Hey thanks a lot, I really appreciate it."
Back when I used to deliver pizzas $3 was the standard/good tip, and $5 was a really good tip - and that was for providing someone an actual service.
The odd thing is this was in Redondo Beach which is a pretty rich town, hard to believe the parents couldn't throw down for a trip out of state to play a game but maybe they have some ghetto kids on the team so I don't know.Look, you're my best friend, so don't take this the wrong way but, in 20 years if you're still here postin' in hhhnnnggg threads, beggin' for mod reps, and braggin' about whales you harpooned from POF, I'll f'in kill ya. That's not a threat, that's a fact, I'll f'in kill ya. You got somethin' none of us have, and you don't owe it to yourself man, you owe it to me. Cuz tomorrow I'm gonna wake up and I'll be red, and I'll still be a socially awkward/FA. And that's all right.

Forgot about this one:
While in Portland, OR a few years back had some random big chic come up to me and asked to sing to me for a dollar. I said I didn't have a dollar and she asked if she could sing to me anyway. I said sure. After her horrible singing she still asked for a dollar. Once again, I stated I didn't have a dollar.
