Oh hai guises!
Just sent an email cancelling my TRX sessions. I was reluctant to begin with. I am not a fan of "in house" gym trainers - I find them unreliable. Anyway the guy who sold me the package said I would hear from someone between Wed and Friday of last week. Still haven't heard from anyone. I'm all about customer service and especially in this case where buddy was definitley giving a sales pitch. I told him it was classic case case of overselling and under delivering....not good. Anyway, I have my own workouts planned. Gym claoses at 3, I'm finished at 1 so won't get there for a workout today. Might hit the condo gym later on though.
And that's the update.

Well that's really annoying. Does your gym have group classes you could drop into when you have time instead? Mine does but I pretty much never get there. I kinda prefer to mostly do my own thing anyway but it can be helpful to get you back in the groove.
It's probably for the best; I bet you know more than most commercial gym trainers anyway

Izzzzzzzzzzz I was just going to write something sassy in your journal!
Yea they do have classes. You're right, might be a good way to get into a groove - didn't even think of that - DUH! I have done some of the classes but not sure what instructors they have now. I love one spinning instructor but not sure of I can make his classes, they might be too early. There's a Sat a.m. crossfit type class that's pretty awesome....again I'll have to see. Might just also say fcuk it, look at my fat a$$ b/c it's not going to be around long! lolJournal but the 2020/2021 ed. ---> https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=141049421

Hey kids!
Somehow today, totally unplanned, I was on web looking on pinterest (one of my addictions) and somehow ended up looking up gyms. I have pretty much decided to join Goodlife again. I had to cancel my membership back in 2009 when I was laid off and find a less expensive gym, which I did, but it was bare bones. The training thing at the gym the other day just put me right off. So this afternoon I went to the goodlife near me...newly renovated and very nice with great equipment (all new) and a very large free weight area - WOOT! Of course there is also tons of cardio equipment (all kinds). They also have TRX! WOOT! What I have always liked about this gym is the number of classes they have. I am already trying to decide which ones I am going to do tomorrow night. I swear if I could I would spend Saturday and SUnday trying out all those classes. I know it's not possible and probably not smart either. A lot of their classes are "Les Mills" which is a brand from New Zealand (sorta like Zumba) where they have set music etc etc and it changes every 3 months I think. Anyway I am super excited to get back into the swing of things! I have a 10 day pass to get me started. I was looking at myself last night in the mirror....it wasn't pretty and I hated what I saw.
I'll pack my gym stuff tonight and have my bag ready to go so when I get home I can feed George, change and go....oooh exciting!Journal but the 2020/2021 ed. ---> https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=141049421

Tender legs from night's class. Tonight I will attempt another. More than the shock that set in me when I saw my reflection in workout clothes (not good) I was shocked to see how strength has diminished. I really hope muscle memory is not fiction!!!!

Oh hey kiddies!
Ok so I took a few more days off from the gym BUT I was feeling really yucky today (like nauseous) but I really think it's my acid reflux. ANyway Iw ent to the gym anyway. I did the last half of Body Combat (turns out it is all about the instructor). Today's instructor was a 1000000 times better than the fist one I had. This one is actually fit and her music was super motivating pumped. I'll definitely be doing her full class next sunday. I then went and did 5 min on the stepmill, 5 minutes on the elliptical and 5 minutes on something else. I don't know what it was lol. Then I stretched and sat in the steam room....aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. I felt great! After goingt hrough that I totally remembered why I fell in love with working out in the first place. There's no stopping me now.Journal but the 2020/2021 ed. ---> https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=141049421

Glad you found the right instructor!
As for diet I keep it simple so I wouldn't be much help. There are a ton of websites our there, or forums on bb.com, that can get you low calorie meals that are nutritious. I'd look online for meals that you could eat everyday and not get tired of that are quick and easy to make, and then meals that you'd make every once and a while that you could keep in the fridge and grab real quick.
I eat the same thing everyday in the same order (mostly) and that can get boring for most people. It works and gets me what I need thoughJournal: http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=175642411

No post yesterday due to extreme uncomfortableness!!! Yesterday I felt like the goodyear blimp, wanted to scratch all my skin off (especially my face, ears and throat) and for the first time in weeks...headache! However, this morning post......
Wow, what an effin difference 24hrs makes! I was totally dead after work yesterday was in bed around 9 (must've been b/c I pvr'd Modern Family). Slept STRAIGHT THROUGH (except to get up to pee once). Woke up feeling good...NO FOG HEAD!!!! So far, no allergy crap going on (my eyes still feel a bit funky but I might actually be able to wear eye makeup today!!!) Right now i'm drinking my coffee with unsweetened coconut milk and some cinnamon...it's good/tolerable! Anyway, I knew there would be a light at the end of the tunnel. I know there could be more withdrawl symptoms but so far, I feel 95% better than I did 24 hrs ago!Journal but the 2020/2021 ed. ---> https://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=141049421

YAY! Hoos flowers!!!!! I miss them! Glad you are back!!
Nah YOU rock! I c wut u do in dat dere journal of yours! lol
Thanks guys! So yes, it appears that "paleofying" my life seems to be working. Of course last night I could not leave things alone. I though "hmmm what would happen if I had some pizza and some fried and some chocolate?" Let me tell you what happened. First I fell into a sleep which I am sure was b/c my blood sugar plummeted. I woke up totally foggy head and in a daze and somehow made it to my bed. I woke up this morning with with swollen eyes, swollen fingers, itchy face, ears and throat. I was congested and when I blew my nose the snot ran like faucet (beautiful image I know) I was also feeling just as tired as when I went to bed...not good. I know some of it would be water retention but the itchiness and congestion is not from water retention and the way my eyes were swollen that wasn't water retention either. As a kid...and even as an adult until I started taking an antihistamine EVERYDAY, I would get hives. As an adult they were strictly on my face and eyes and mouth. As a kid I'd get them everywhere. Any consider this my weekend of detoxing.
I conclude my post with:
GROK ON!!!
