On my way home from Thanksgiving dinner at my aunts house, I stopped at a local gas station in Lagrange, NY and went to their freezers and found OCC!!! Along with some 2nd Street creamery... Too bad I didn't bringer freezer bags with me.
This was the second time ever finding OCC for me.
8.5/10. Would be sooo much better with raisins instead of chocolate pieces. IMO.1k+

Had Edy's Pumpkin tonight. Was better than I expected, not too strong a pumpkin flavor and not bad considering it lacks mixins. Not as gummy as other offerings I have had from them either.

Hey guy's, hope you had a great thanksgiving with your family, friends, etc. I had dinner with my mom and dad, and they don't really eat much so, I didn't even break into an astronomical surplus of calories this thanksgiving. I now have more to be thankful for.
Anyways, back on point.
If you haven't had The Limited Edition Sugar Cookie Poptarts, your seriously missing out. These things are amazing. They have just enough flavor and sugar to taste like a home made sugar cookie, without over doing it.
I put mine in the toaster for even more of a warm home'y taste. Tasted like it came right out of the oven. 8.5/10
I also as you see have my favorite Greek froyo. If you haven't had this flavor of ben and jerry's Greek yogurt lineup, well, then your not only missing out on amazing poptart, your also missing out on an amazing unique tating froyo as well, Period.
A lot of people have tried it, and didn't like this flavor of Greek froyo. I will admit that it takes awhile to get used to but, after a bit of time it grows on you, and you'll appreciate it. I'd honestly go and say that this flavor even beats some of my favorite ben and jerry's ice cream varieties. It's that good, seriously.
This meal here set me up with a very Christmas feel to my day, the overly powerful sugar cookie taste of the warm poptart helped compliment the sweet and sour of the froyo very well, and it leaves a lasting impression for my taste buds.
Off to black Friday sales to pick up gifts for my niece and neffew. Buybuy!? Bai!Last edited by Karas893; 11-23-2012 at 01:21 AM.

Just spoke with a B&J's rep and great news (so far).. They have not determined the discontinued flavors for 2013 yet, therefore OCC is still very much alive.. And even better news here: due to the large complaints of people not being able to find Cannoli as the limited batch, they will now be making these pints through March of 2013.. So as some posters ITT stated above, there is now no need to rush to find this pint ASAP.. Although I would still look every time I hit up the supermarket!!!!
Sugar Cookie is very good.... THIS is even better though!

Might double-check the rack next time you're at the store to make sure no one put Sugar Cookie in front of Gingerbread. All the stores in my area that carry one are also carrying the other.
Libby's recipe, I hope. Can't mess up the classics."Mediocrity knows nothing higher than itself, but talent instantly recognizes genius."

I have only seen them at Kroger in my local area.. Publix, Walmart, and Target only have Sugar Cookie from what I've seen!
^^^^This!! The Solution is right, IMO they hands down whip sugar cookie although both are very legit!
As I stated above, I believe that the stores that carry one are also carrying the other as well.. Because when I asked a target employee if they would be getting the gingerbread in also, he said that they have been on order for quite a while but have not received them in for some reason.. So I believe that if your supermarket is carrying one then they should also be carrying the other.. Like I said though, I have only seen them at Kroger so far!
On another note, just got back from Black Friday shopping at the local mall and my mom & sister wanted to run into target to check their sales.. So of course I went to check out the B&J's selection of ice cream and immediately looked to where the Key Lime Pie is stocked in hopes to see Cannoli.. Well of course there was still the same selection of KLP there all freezer burnt as usual! But I looked immediately below them on the next shelf and Cannoli is now in stock!!! So to all the hopefuls out there still searching keep your hopes up.. And also, they will now be making the limited batch through March..

Hey Chad, I see certain Ice Cream manufacturers in different ways.
Graeters. Seeing how I grew up next to 3 Graeters Ice Cream shops, their flavors are normal to me. For the most part I have unlimited access to any pint of theirs I want. Never had cookies and cream, or Elena Blueberry though. Might I recommend you Peppermint Stick? It was my goto for years until I found...
Ben and Jerry's. I mostly kept to these flavors because they were more about unique ideas, and mix ins. So far I've just about had every flavor I wanted except Oatmeal Cookie Chunk. Hopefully that ends next week.
Cold Stone. Honestly, I've only tried Birthday Cake Remix. I don't know of any other signatures of there's really. Willing to try though if any ideas.
New Orleans Ice Cream Company. Spoke to Adrian a few days ago. Awesome guy. Really looking forward to trying his flavors. (no homo) as they seem geared to the more exotic.
I've never had Blue Bell, again not sure. I'm an ice cream fiend. That's why I have to be given a good set amount such as a pint, for example. Any more than that, and I can't control myself. With Blue Bell being a freaking tub, I don't trust myself with that responsibility lol.
I'm pumped to start trying Adrian ice cream in 3 weeks though. Hint. Ice Cream Source orders more Cafe lau beignets.+++ Positive Crew +++

Interesting. I've always found that the temptation to eat a boatload of ice cream is always greater with a pint, because in terms of volume it's not really that big. I was raised to take only what I intend to eat, and not to leave it on my plate. This is why I make a point not to eat directly out of the pint unless I'm planning to down the whole thing, because otherwise I subconsciously perceive it the same way I would a bowl of cereal that I poured for myself. The larger containers kind of kill that for me, because I look at a quart or something and think "that's just ridiculous."
On the other hand, the smaller containers in the pints also mean that I can have a greater variety of flavors in my limited freezer space. It also means that I can be confident that I'll finish any flavor I decide to try within a couple of days, and I won't have to worry about freezer burn and all of that other nonsense. Unfortunately, there are some fantastic brands (Private Selection is coming to mind) whose best flavors only come in the bigger cartons.
Oh, and FYI on the Coldstone...
Their signature flavors are well and good, but for what Coldstone is and what you're paying for, I honestly think you're doing yourself a disservice not to go with the custom creation. They have some pretty good base variety (depending on the particular Coldstone), and enough mix-ins for you to create some pretty solid flavors. The only real issue is $$$, but you've mentioned previously that you're not overly concerned with that.Last edited by Crucifist; 11-23-2012 at 01:14 PM.
