I want to see Mahmut in IFBB pro shows, I hope he gets a pro card and a good sponsorship. He has incredible genetics no doubt.

In most Arab countries they get paid to stay Amateurs so they don't go pro. Sami the Blacksmith is a good example of that as he could have turned pro many times already but chose not to. I'm unsure of exactly how it works, but I just know they get more money NOT going pro than they would if they did.

24-26 November 2012 IFBB World Classic Bodybuilding Championships in Bulgaria. Legendary Turkish bodybuilder Hamdullah Aykutlu (age 47) competed with another rising Turkish bodybuilder Mahmut Irmak (about to turn 40) in open men category. Hamdullah took 2.place, Mahmut took 3.place. Hamdullah showed the importance of experience than age. The guy on the left won first place. Here are some photos.

Anyone who prefer the iron-age physiques from the 70's and 80's to todays mass monsters should just go and watch those shows instead. brb linking people to this thread anytime someone comments on today's top IFBB pros being "too big" (whatever the **** that means considering this sport is called body-BUILDING after all)
