I am a freshman in high school, and I am looking to start varsity offensive tackle. I need to know what I can do to get that.
What techniques, and works out can I do to achieve this goal, and do you recommend pre-workout, and protein supplements?

Like to see the hogs on the forum... You need to get quicker and more flexible... You need to be able to get lower then your opponent to cut then... Or completely pancake their ass... Do core and legs the most... Obviously your upper body isn't a big importance to you... Which is good... Lower body is more important anyways

1. You should correct your squatting form because based on you other stat i don't think you a going parallel at 300.
2 You should do 2-3 days a week doing sprints preferably starting in a 3 point stance so you can get faster out off the ball.
Then you should lift 3 days a week some good exercises to base you workouts around are the big three(squat, deadlift, bench) and Olympic lifts and squat thrusters for explosiveness
3. practice your foot work if you really are 6'3 235 if you just put you body in between a defensive player and the ball carrier they will have a hard time getting to him. So your fist step should always be towards where the ball is going to get in his way fast and then you drive him back( for a run block)

All the above is pretty sound advice if you are 235 you probably have enough of an appetite that you don't need to "carb up". It really is all in the hips. Key points to work on fire off low and hard. Head up with a wide base. Work on driving through not to your opponent. Keep your feet driving from whistle to whistle. Get in the weight room as often as you can. Use proper form it is more important than weight. Foot speed can be a big help to annihilating your opponent so hit the speed ladder often. Work on your speed no one stands a chance if you can hit them before they get out of their stance.
