Which BA's did you guys get? Incredible value on these NEW Boston Acoustics because their white finish doesn't sell well.

I got these ones. http://www.accessories4less.com/make...h-Black/1.html
I wouldn't say there is anything too special about them. IMO they sound warm, which I wanted. I wanted tweeters, not horns like what I have in my theatre. Their sensitivity isn't anything to brag about, but for the money, I think they were a decent buy.
I literally listen to them every day, TV, music, etc. They don't have a lot of bass, but that's what my sub is for. They are quite clear for TV watching as well, 10x better than TV speakers, I could never go back to that. So for $300 bucks I got the receiver and those speakers. The receiver even came with the Ipod dock, which I never use lol

Decided to build some poverty speaker stands for my office since the only viable options were $200+ steel stands. My Bostons weigh over 35 pounds each, so the stand needed to be rock solid. Took three heavy coats of paint to seal the cinder blocks. They kept soaking it up and leaving bare spots. Looks much better now.
They're inexpensive but can ruin the look of your room. If you're handy with tools, build your own panels. It'll be cheaper and much more attractive. Also to hang foam panels, you need to use spray adhesive which will be a pain in the ass if you ever decide to take them down and repaint or move.Last edited by cyde; 04-30-2013 at 06:55 PM.

I have my first dedicated home theater room! It's not without quirks or renting limitations(seriously why everything is painted white is beyond me. )
That's the current setup the rack picture link is messed up atm, I'm replacing the front 3 speakers with the current speaker build which is nearing it's long awaited end.
After that I'll upgrade to 18" SI subs probably.

Son, I am disappoint. Buy some velcro cable wraps. It will make cleaning much easier, and you won't have a mess of cables to play with if you ever need to replace a cord.

I have everything in my HT/Man Cave. Not a big space at all. Just renting this place atm.
Cables don't look great here, but I usually use my full-sized case to hide them from view. I don't go as extreme as others do with cable management, but I try my best.
Brand new TV: 55" M-series Vizio. I love it. I used a Black Friday 50" 720p Sammy plasma for 5 years and I'm glad it's gone!
Onkyo TX-SR605 with a 7.1 Onkyo speaker set. PlayStation 3 (the loud and bulky version), Nintendo 64, PlayStation 2, and my old PC to hold up the center speaker... haha.
The laptop is my old gaming laptop (GTX 260M) and is just an Linux experiment currently.
Just the back wall showing my Blu-rays and DVDs (that I can't get rid of), as well as Gandalf's sword and a map of Skyrim.
