Just spent all my gems on two Gold Mines, I ain't even mad. Upgrading my archer towers and lab right now. 6 hours until I can build/upgrade anything :/

There's no rush man. Just build what you can and just have fun with it. Everyone's base will get raided no matter the build.

so if im understanding correctly, leveling up your TH fast isn't the way to go?

You could do that, it's better to have your defences maxed before you level up your TH. You can easily raid your loot tbh.
I'm maxing at TH7 before upgrading doe. Lv7/8 is where it's at for farming.

misc II was so poverty compared to misc brahs

sent a request and I got it filled with 3/4 star troops in less than 15 minutes
in misc II a request occasionally got me a few poverty starred barbarians

That's because you weren't in the real Misc II.

Poverty misc II = poverty troops.

Standard donations in Real Misc II are level 5 archers, normally someone giving out level 3 drags or 5+ wizards.

I use Minions pretty often. Hogs rarely. Valkyries never. Golems once (too expensive but good, will use them more at th9). Will use Witches when I get them. I have a builder on my TH right now. I still have 9 days though

I have no issues with Misc III, have not really gotten any poverty troops. Last week or so I've been pushing for 2000 trophies and have been requesting like crazy, have had level 5 archers, dragons, wizards usually.

50 Minions and the rest balloons. Most of the time I end up donating some minions so I actually end up going to raid with 40. But anywhere between 40-50 works for me.

right now I farmed up to 1100 to join misc brahs but now everyone Im trying to raid is like TH8 while Im at TH5 so I have no chance

and I havent used dragons yet but Ive seen some vids

You're going to want to find a good joocy range and stay in it. I'm TH9 and have been having good luck between 1350 and 1450. If I'm at the upper end of the range, I'll try and lose the next raid on purpose. If I'm hanging around near the bottom/middle, I'll aim for 1 star and move up slightly. Find a good range and stick with it!

In terms of dragons versus loons, each have their own pro's and cons... I feel that drags are old school and the majority of people use loon raids now. Because drags go for everything, I never really know which path they'll follow. With loons, you usually look for exposed AD's that are easy to destroy + you want to clear out a side or two. This leaves a clear path for the minions to clean up.

At th5 the best thing to do is just be patient and push along, doesn't really start getting fun until th7...don't upgrade th til maxed then itll be down hill from there.
