Hey Guys, I'm 16 years old and I've been working out for about 8 months now. I use protein powder as my post workout shake, but I've realized that it's been causing lots of acne on my face, especially on my forhead (Big weird zits that are difficult to pop). The protein was "CKN Whey advanced", and had 32 grams of protein per 2 scoops.
I'm convinced that I get acne from drinking a lot of milk/consuming dairy products, so i'm positive that this protein had a lot of lactose in it for something.
I'm thinking about buying ON 100% Whey (Vanilla), but I'm not sure if its lactose free or if it won't cause me acne? Also, I'm taking creatine (5g's) per day, and getting a little acne on my shoulders, back, chest, but I think that might just be from football, and sweating excessively.
So does anyone know how I can still get my Post-workout protein shake without lactose, acne-causing protein?
NOTE: Don't say wash you're face or buy skin products, because I've tried everything and im 99.9% sure that my acne is caused by my diet/protein.

Acne is diet related the majority of the time, but it's also just because of your hormones. You don't have to drink a shake post work out.
Supplement a good diet: don't diet on supplements.

Not sure if your comments are correct guys. I'm 45 years old and I have never had pimples even as a teenager. Now that I'm doing MMA/Kickboxing and taking protein powders for recovery, I have pimples all over my forehead.
When I drink a powder call Testoroid it will give me acne by the morning, when I stop for 1-2 weeks they go away.

Link says some of both the chocolate and vanilla were contaminated with salmonella. Stay safe OP.
What are the ingredients? Creatine can also cause acne. If it is lactose, something like ON 100% Whey should be fine; it contain lactase, so it's lactose-free for all effects and purposes.Stop dwelling on what happens when we die
