Can you lift heavy weights with a cyst?

Apparently my doctor said I have a 1 inch cyst monster growing on my left ovary and I dont know if I can or should continue lifting weights with a gross hitchhiker on my ovary.

I think this is a question that is a case by case situation that you need to ask doctor about. I’ve heard horror stories about ovarian cysts bursting but I don’t know if lifting could cause that

Switched my profile. Checked online and I found conflicting info on it with a lot of people saying to avoid heavy weights. I figured since cysts are common a lot of bodybuilders wouldve been able to deal with it and know whether or not to use heavy weights.

When I had a cyst on my ovary my doctor told me not to move much at all. I think you should ask your doctor as there are also different kinds of cysts. Some are just filled with blood, while some are filled with other things that can lead to a nasty infection if it bursts. In my case it had burst open after I sat down and I needed surgery.

Yes , you can lift weight even if you have Ganglion cyst , but make sure not to put pressure on the Lump and skip the Excercise which needs twisting of you Wrist, and skip all the Forearm excercise as to Perform those you need to twist your Wrist .
