Workout B 26/11
Squat 140kg / 308lbs 1 Easy Single Squat 117.5kg / 260lbs 5 x 5 Deadlift 140kg / 308lbs 1 x 5 +1 rep Press 50kg / 110lbs 3 x 5, 2, skipped Row 80kg/ 176lbs 5 x 5 CGBP 67.5kg / 148lbs +2.5kg 3 x 8 Incline Hammer Curls 17.5kg / 38lbs 3 x 6 Cable Crunches 70kg / 154lbs 3 x 15
*Last time i'm doing a heavy single prior to 5 sets of 5, but it was easy I just bounced right back up.
*Deadlift +1 rep despite being more trashed than last time.
*Fukked off with my press, 3rd time i've missed 5x5 with 50kg so i'm resetting to 45kg.
*Cleaned up form big time on cable crunches.
*Good (albeit 2 1/2-3 hours long) session overall.
Dinner: 2 Burgers with loads of cheese/brown sauce between bread + oven chips. A real life poverty meal.

Changing up a couple of things now to accommodate the Texas method programming for squats.
Mainly I won't be alternating deadlifts A/B/A incase they should fall on the light day (Wednesday) which should be used to give my PC a rest before attempting a PR on Friday. Instead I will have my heavy set of deadlifts after my Intensity squats on a Friday where i'll have more steam than after 5x5 and I'll have 2 days to recover afterwards.
Then on Fridays i'll reduce weight on Rows by 10% as normal. It may even be an idea to slow Row progression down so that I do the same weight Monday-Wednesday then -10% on Friday before bumping the following Monday, but i'll think about that when I need to.
That is allBJJ / Greyskull LP log

Nice work in that last session Harry.
Great work on Squats and BP especially.
That meal actually doesn't look half bad btw.
You'll love Texas Method for progression...each week after squatting 5x5 (which IK you already do) you'll feel great but in a few seconds it will hit you soon that you only have a few days to enjoy before your intensity day...a love hate relationship lol.My log

no sweat
I think i'm going to be able to get my Deadlift up faster now that it's on Friday after only 1 intense set of squats. My hips really took a beating with yesterday's 5X5, to the point where I think I started too high. In the TM ebook he says you should go with 80-90% of your 5RM and I went ahead with 90, so i'm gonna go with 85% from now on which will have me doing 115kg 5x5 next week. This is so I don't stall out sooner than I need to.BJJ / Greyskull LP log

strong wat, I got to my thread with my browser didnt see any updates or anything and you just happened to post the exact minute I arrived. cheers broheim
Today was supposed to be a training day but you couldn't even call it that. Absolutely shattered running on < 3hrs sleep and didn't want to be there at all.
Squats Light day
2 x 5 x 90kg / 198lbs
They actually felt heavy...
DB Bench Press 3 x 6-8 x 30kg / 66lbs
BB Rows 3 x 8 x 80kg / 176lbs
Was so tired and lacking energy I just up and left after one set of curls. ****ty session. All the more reason to smash PRs on Friday after a good nights sleep.BJJ / Greyskull LP log
